Take one Kan Kan handbag, turn up the volume, and you've got Be & D's Chatterley satchel. It’s got more frills, more metal, and more attitude.

Where the Kan Kan's ruffles are soft and feminine, the Chatterley's frills are tight and structured. They don't have the same girly appeal, which may be a strength or a weakness depending on your taste. I think these small ruffles gel a little better with the studded stripe at the center of the purse. They've both got the same edgy feel, a vibe which is mimicked in the metal chain handle.

You can remove the strap if the chain starts to pain your shoulder, but that raises another dilemma. A bag this large is going to make an awkward hand-held clutch. It's up to you to work out which is the lesser evil!

But at least there's room inside for all your girly goodies. You'll have no problems carrying your wallet, sunglasses, and personal technology inside, but the slim profile means you may have rethink toting bulky novels. I would have appreciated a few more pouches and pockets, but mercifully the lone zip pocket is leather trimmed to last.

The Chatterley is like the Kan Kan's naughty little sister. Its style is a little dirtier and less refined, and that's exactly why its fans will love it.
