Tory Burch stamps her trademark sense of style onto her Idina cosmetics case.
This sophisticated make-up purse is immediately identifiable as one of the American designer’s creations. Its lines are clean, and its logo medallion stands proudly against the purse. Her fans may be disappointed that leather only borders the branding, but it actually makes a lot of sense. By choosing coated canvas rather than a more luxurious fabric Tory Burch has ensured that make-up stains can be easily wiped away.
The colorblocked finish makes the canvas seem much more appealing. The top has the fabric’s natural ivory tone, while the base has a more playful hue. It’s pink in this instance, but we could also choose yellow or turquoise.
The Idina’s interior is very simple. What you see is what you get. I wish there were little pockets or elasticized loops to keep our make-up must haves in order, but for this price I wouldn’t necessarily expect it.
Given its basic materials and basic design though, I can’t help thinking Tory Burch is charging a premium for her name. $75 isn’t expensive for the average Tory Burch purse, but it’s a bit steep for one that will spend most of its life inside a larger tote.
