It’s not often that I say this about a diffusion line, but I definitely like MICHAEL more than I like the Michael Kors collection accessories. Honestly, they have a very similar aesthetic, but the MICHAEL line’s prices are so much more reasonable that I automatically like them better. Unfortunately, this particular tote is not my favorite thing that MICHAEL has put out this season.
Michael Kors makes one of the best faux pythons out there. This one is particularly luxurious because of the patent. There’s really nothing like the high gloss of patent leather combined with the organic texture of snakeskin. It’s two great tastes that taste great together.
The rounded shape of this tote is great, but I have a few bones to pick with the details. First of all, what’s going on with all the unnecessary hardware? It’s too much. Secondly, these straps are way too slim for this bag. Not only does it look out of balance, it will also just never be comfortable enough for the long haul, even if the long haul is just a single day of Christmas shopping.
And while the price is reasonable at $500, it’s not exactly a deal. And if I’m going to buy a bag with too much hardware and uncomfortable straps, I at least want a deal, don’t you?
