There’s not a thing about seatbelts that makes me think of spring weather fashion. When they’re adorned with a pretty floral print and woven into a satchel, however, I can begin to see the appeal.
Despite the fact that Harveys has become an extremely popular handbag brand due to its unique use of material, I haven’t always been on board with the brand. Sometimes it’s hard not to look at them and just see seatbelts. There are a few exceptions for me, though, like the striped Rugby Satchel and this floral-printed 4205 satchel.
Sure, this one still has the distinct woven Harveys look, but the pretty pink peonies on a chocolate brown background are enough to deceive the eye. Of course, it’s easy to appreciate Harveys handbags when you consider the durability of the seatbelts. The nearly indestructible material can take all kinds of wear and tear before showing any signs of it.
Stains would be easily hidden with the dark background on this 4205 style, but I wouldn’t expect there to be any since spills and leaks would be easy to clean. The mid-sized satchel comes in an array of other prints and colors including solid topaz, pink, and champagne as well as a light-colored peony bloom and a blue and white butterfly print.
The Harveys 4205 satchel retails for $118. It’s hard to beat a price like that for a bag that you probably couldn’t destroy, even if you wanted to.
