Aldo has an uncanny knack for interpreting modern trends for less. With this Goetter, the budget fashion house takes on nudes.
I must admit, I’m not the biggest fan of a nude color palette. It’s very now, but the shades always seem a bit washed out and boring to me. However the hue of the Goetter is warmer than most, and it comes closer to winning me over than the rest. And then there’s the soft, relaxed pleating, which adds interest to the Goetter’s voluminous synthetic body.
It’s the little touches that really impress me though. The braided handle is really interesting, and the pair of zippered pockets a seamless addition to the front of the bag. I’m not sure whether the unusual orientation will make those pockets very user-friendly, but I appreciate the way they work on a purely aesthetic level.
The Goetter is one of those Mary Poppins purses that seems to fit everything you need along with the kitchen sink. All that space makes us feel pampered, but it might make the Goetter a little difficult to manage. Attaching the longer cross-body strap should make things that much easier though.
I’d have called this bag affordable at $100, but at $45 it’s an absolute bargain!
