Whiting & Davis go all "Barbie" with this metallic pink evening bag.

Usually the masters of metal mesh are all about vintage style design, or rock chick metal and studs. However, the label has added in some color in this shirred clutch, a decision that has transformed it into something feminine and very pink indeed.

Personally I am not sure what I think of the transformation. The colored metal is lovely, and I welcome the change in direction and pace to stop this established brand from getting stuck in its ways. However, I question whether the pink metal in combination with the pearl pink wrist strap is a touch too much saccharine sweetness.

If pink and girly is your thing, however, then the appearance will no doubt be loved, especially with the added tassels and rippled gathering. Plus, these looks and very shiny metal make a great evening bag! You even get a surprising level of function for such a small purse, with plenty of room and a slip pocket.
