Miu Miu Textured Leather Shoulder Bag Miu Miu has come up with a lot of ridiculous bags in the past few seasons. But sprinkled throughout its motley mess of accessories are gems like this one. This textured leather shoulder bag has an old school charm that's hard to resist.

The weathered look of the leather on this bag is, I think, what really makes it work. The large grain gives it a rugged appeal. The shininess of the bright yellow gold hardware seems somewhat contradictory, but it gives the bag a little extra textural interest.

The shape of this satchel is very classic, with beautiful tooled and stitched corners on the front flap and great slim strap and buckle flourishes. The smaller details on the bag, like the O-rings on the straps and the seaming, are really lovely, but something about them doesn't come together all that coherently. There's just something a little off about the bag, design-wise.

Another thing that's off is the price on this satchel. $1,695 is more than a little unreasonable for this low level of faux rusticism.
