Marc By Marc Jacobs (or MBMJ) is so on a roll, lately. Seriously, he is filling the void that all the overpriced, under-designed lines out there are building in the market. This Jane On A Leash Bag is pitch perfect and affordable.
MBMJ has been using a lot of textured leather lately, and I think it's a good choice. It's a little more durable than smooth leather, shows wear less easily, and is a bit more traditional looking. I love edgy styles, but the textured leather makes this one that could go either way, which is even better.
The small, simple shape of the Jane is so ideal. Ideal if you're a light-packer like me, that is. If you need to carry more than your wallet, keys, and chapstick, though, the Jane On A Leash is not for you. The small size is great for throwing over your shoulder or across the body; either way it will be cute and comfortable. And you won't even need a wallet, actually, because the Jane has internal card slots.
The best thing about the Jane (except maybe the name) is the $230 price tag. Chic, versatile, sold.
