Fontanelli brings a little intrigue to basic black with its Leather Twist Lock Bag.

The traditional doctor style design is given an elegant lift here. The central woven panel is complemented by modern pleats, which meet together in a V at the base. The combination of textures could easily overwhelm on a different purse, but the simple shape and black on black design ensures this doesn't look too busy. Instead, it stops the basic black looking boring!

The purse is of a decent size, but it's not as large as is fashionable at the moment. The structured shape means we won't be able to cram in extras either, so that’s worth keeping in mind if you're a pack-rat. On the plus side though, this delicate creature won't overwhelm your outfit, or your body.

My only major gripe is the shoulder straps. I suppose they're perfectly sized for this chic little number, but I can't help wishing for a few extra inches. We all know how tiresome hand-held carrying can be if you're spending the day on your feet.

Fontanelli bags are never cheap, but I still wouldn't mind laying down $755 for such a timelessly elegant purse. It's ideal for the office or an evening out, but I'd probably leave it at home when I hit the mall.
