I'm telling y'all, gray is the new nude, which was the new black last season. Seriously, two out of two of the bags I've written about today are gray, and they weren't the only bags I had to choose from either. I am loving this new color trend, and I especially love Stella McCartney's sporty, minimal interpretation of it on this messenger bag.

The quilted gray jersey is super soft, and the quilting makes it look modern and chic. Plus, since the entire bag is made of cotton and nylon, I bet you could throw it right in the washer, although I guess a lot of elitist fashionistas would frown upon doing so.

The gray jersey gives it a definitively athletic look, but the messenger bag shape is part office, part school. I'm not really sure how it would go over in an your average office, but it would definitely work as a very chic school bag or a very casual everyday bag.

The price is right at $220. I'm not always a fan of Stella McCartney's pieces, but this one is a winner all around in my book.
