GreenSmart Markhor Bag

GreenSmart Markhor BagEco-friendly accessories label GreenSmart has gone high tech with the launch of its new laptop bag, called the Markhor.

The stylish sustainable purse features a fashion forward asymmetrical pocketed face, short top handles, and a detachable shoulder strap. It’s also available in black, gray, or the ocean blue color pictured. But really its looks are secondary to its green construction and functional features.

The Markhor is made from a unique fabric crafted from recycled PET bottles. Each bag saves between 11 and 13 bottles from landfill.

The Markhor is available in three different sizes: two small versions for 13 and 15-inch MacBooks and a larger one for 16-inch laptops. There’s an open pocket on the back large enough for holding a magazine or newspaper, and reinforced padding in the corners and at the mid-point to help it last.

The Markhor takes its name from an endangered species of wild goat, so it’s only fitting that GreenSmart does what it can to help save this rare creature. Ten percent of all profits reach charity groups working to save its habitat in Northern Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Buy your own Markhor and help save the world’s rare goats for $59.95 from the GreenSmart website.
