It is the strange pale yellow colored satin fabric that makes the little feathers work so well here. That sherbet shade is the perfect counterpart to the fluffy brown, white and gray of the feathers. The soft ruffles of the bow too continue this great coordination, although I am not sure about how the contrasting diamante sparkles fit with the whole ensemble.

The shape itself is cute as well. The double layer bow is pretty at the same time as being reasonably subtle, a nice change from the oversized bows that have been around all year. Considering the fold-over wallet-esque shape I would perhaps have expected more pockets or compartments, but the simple interior will still suffice for an evening bag.

With a convenient optional handle and range of colors, this is an affordable yet pretty option for a summer wedding.

Not the ultra-blingy ostentatious kind, but understated bags with a little something extra like this one.

Olive green is kind of unusual as far as evening bag colors go, and there's something refreshing about the color choice alone. It's neutral enough that it will go with almost everything, and it will look particularly nice with this season's nudes.

The leather gathers softly towards the center of this simple frame bag, and is accented with a giant raw emerald. There's something very retro about the look of this clutch, although I can't place the era precisely. The bag itself looks a little bit 80s, while the embellishment looks a little more 40s deco. Let's call it pan-vintage.

Honestly, for $545 this bag isn't really cutting it for me. I like it, but it lacks coherence. It has a lot of interesting elements that just don't seem to be hanging together entirely. I would wait for the next quirky Marni offering if I were you.

Finding one in a really unusual shade of royal blue like this is even better.

OK, so this isn't the most remarkable wristlet. It features a soft folded blue satin body and a typical Menbur styled sparkling embellishment. It's simple, yes, but also quite elegant, and very easy to coordinate with elegant evening outfits and long gowns. Plus, a satin exterior never goes out of fashion, which manages to make an affordable bag into somewhat of an investment.

Of course, although this has the space of a normal sized clutch, you have to consider that it only has a wrist strap. Although this makes it quite cute, it does mean it will be harder to carry, which is always worth considering! At least you have room for your belongings, and there is a long chain strap if you need an emergency option; it just doesn't look as neat!

Classy, pretty and with sequins to boot, this is a very pretty clutch!

GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI, ARE YOU SERIOUS? This whole Che Guevara motif is so five years ago. Almost ten. I am not saying there's anything wrong with Che, I admire him as a man and as a revolutionary, but as a fashion icon, I think his days have past.

Now that I've got that out of the way, allow me to recant slightly. I love the kitsch factor on this bag. Nothing could be more ironic than a Swarovski crystal image of Che Guevara on a luxury handbag. Seriously, does Fashion know that this man is a communist?

All that being said, the bag is pretty cute. It has an edgy, blingy, eye-catching vibe that will appeal to a lot of women, communist or no. The shape of the bag itself is elegant and paired down, and I really like the look of the bright rainbow crystals against the matte black suede. It would be really cute with jeans and stilettos or your favorite LBD for a night on the town.

The $650 price tag is another source of immense amusement for me, however. Not only do I think that this bag is simply not worth that kind of cash - no one should pay that much for kitsch - it's just so unbelievably out of keeping with the man's ideals that I just can't help but laugh.

Nothing fussy or overwrought, just streamlined designs that can be worn regardless of trends. That's what she's known for, but this particular bag is not exactly screaming "cool" or "downtown". 

This bag isn't screaming at all. In fact, it might actually be yawning, or muttering under its breath like some withering old ninny, which is exactly what it reminds me of. Seriously, I am the first person to adore kitschy touches on high style designs, but give me the high style first, please.

This clutch is a serious disappointment. I mean, it isn't exactly offensive or anything, but it is seriously boring. And, dare I say, completely irrelevant to what's going on in fashion or culture? I think it's supposed to be going for some sort of uber-girly, florals meet rhinestones in a speakeasy sort of vibe, but I'm really not sure.

The champagne colored clutch is simply shaped, and would have been acceptable, but it looks as though someone attacked it with a beadazzler or a hot glue gun or something. The floral patterns are uninspired, and the color palette is muted to the point of being blah.

All this for only $995? What a deal, people. My advice to you, if you happen to have an extra grand lying around, is to wrap some rubberbands around those bills and throw them in a coffee tin. At least cash will still be worth something in a few months (hypothetically speaking), unlike this poor excuse for a designer handbag.

Maybe it's how decadent and over-the-top the best of the 80's styles were, but I also think it's that decade really redefined casual night-out dressing. It really wasn't until then that you could wear jeans and heels to a nightclub, and who wants to remember a time before that?

Anya Hindmarch is not a designer I usually associate with retro styles, but this time she hit the nail on the head. This big blue patent clutch has "wear me with neon pumps" written all over it. Of course, it would also be fabulous as a pop of color to some more neutral tones.

The color of the Louisa clutch won me over immediately. This is the definition of electric blue. The shape of the bag is so simple, sleek, and voluptuous that it just begs to be held. And the giant blue gemstone on the front ups the glam factor a ton.

At 12" x 5" x 2", the Louisa is large, but not oversized. There's plenty of room for your essentials, and there's even an adorable separate press-stud purse on the inside for those crucial items like your ID and subway card.

I have been trying to find some fatal flaw in this bag, but honestly, I just don't see anything. The price, at $395, is high, but still reasonable for a well-constructed designer item.
