Come February 5 the eagerly anticipated department store collection will hit Targets across America and online.

This image gives our first look at the range, which is influenced by French New Wave cinema, elfin actress Jean Seberg, and nautical style. I'm less than impressed by the fairly pedestrian monochromatic bag, but the pretty navy dress is a real winner. While the handbag hasn't knocked my socks off I imagine it could become a reliable part of any wardrobe, and that dress is perfect for the warm weather ahead. I'm also impressed that the quality doesn't seem to have suffered despite the lower prices, unlike a few of Target's other designer lines.

Jason Wu told T Magazine that rather than duplicating the apparel and accessories from his signature collection he looked to design completely new products with "a voice of their own." The style bible also reports that silky blouses, pleated skirts, and lace-detailed trench coats are some of the other Jason Wu for Target items we can look forward to.

Lookwise, this duffle is pretty underwhelming. Its brown nylon body is drab and its synthetic black handles and trim appear cheap. The color choice of these accents is also disappointing. Only the best designers can make black and brown look good together, and Sonia Kashuk just doesn't have what it takes.

It's very easy to take pot shots at the way this duffle looks, but to focus on that means you'd miss some of its perks. It's got many more pockets than most mid-sized bags do, including the practical front pocket. Its long zip around design ensures we can use all of the space it offers, and easily locate the items we've stashed away inside it. Its nylon body looks a bit cheap, but it's also easy to take care of.

It's too dull to ever turn heads, but for $19.99 this is a cheap and practical way to get your items from Point A to Point B.

The affordable department store chain is following up that monster diffusion line with one by Michelle Obama's favorite designer, Jason Wu.

Just like Wu's signature line, the Target range will be inspired by the feminine fashions of the swinging sixties. It's set to feature apparel items, handbags, and scarves affordable priced between $20 and $60. That top end is still dirt cheap for something like the dress shown in the sketch Wu's released. It's also significantly more affordable than anything in Wu's signature range. Color me excited!

Wu said it was "incredible" partnering with Target for the collection, and that he can hardly wait to bring his affordable designs to women across America. I'm sure they also can't wait to get their hands on them!

The Jason Wu for Target collection will hit its American stores and website on February 5. Make sure to mark it in your calendar, as I don't expect these items to hang around for too long! Do you think we'll see Mrs. Obama joining the queue at her local Target store? And will you be lining up with her to get your hands on these inexpensive Jason Wu goodies?

This is your classic cheap and cheerful clutch, or at least it appears to be. Its nylon body points as its affordable $14.99 price tag. It's not at all luxurious, but at least it's lightweight, durable, and easy to keep clean. The blue and white geometric print gives the Geo its personality. It's like a meeting of art deco design and 80s retro, with a hint of Greek style thrown in.

With its simple exterior and bargain price tag, I didn't expect much inside to be honest. But Sonia Kashuk has surprised me with several lined compartments, perfect for keeping yourself organized on an evening out. What it lacks in style it certainly makes up for with design. In such a compact, lightweight package, I'm not even missing the shoulder strap.

I'm not sure the Geo has what it takes to attract attention once the sun goes down, but it'd be a very cute clutch during the day. And once evening hits, it could always do double duty as a cosmetics case inside a classier tote bag!

The undercover snappers captured Margherita Missoni, the model daughter of the label's creative director Angela Missoni, posing with a swag of the new gear.

Honestly, this is Missoni for Target overload. She's wearing a Missoni for Target headband and Missoni for Target dress as she pulls her pile of Missoni for Target travel bags. It's just the scene we'd expect to see on any street, right? I get the advertisement's message, but it also seems to be an instructional guide for the wrong way to wear the capsule collection. These pieces really should be paired with neutrals, not more of the same zig zag printed items!

The photo, as seen in The Cut, shows us just five of the 400 plus items promised by Missoni for Target. But if they're all as predictable as these ones, perhaps we can guess how they might look. Honestly anyone who knew anything about Missoni might have imagined these bags and clothes appearing just the same way, which is disappointing. There's nothing wrong with sticking to a design vision of course, but wouldn't you like to see a bit more individual flair?

I suppose we'll reserve judgment until the entire Missoni capsule collection hits Target stores on September 13.

And the Italian label isn't doing it by halves!

This is set to be one of the biggest Designers for Target collections to date, with more than 400 pieces available. These items will include the apparel and accessories we all expected, and the bed sheets and dinnerware we probably didn't!

Handbags haven't been explicitly mentioned at this point, but with such a diverse range I'll be shocked if they don't feature. The colorful collection will be decorated with the swirly prints, zig zag patterns, and psychedelic florals Missoni is famous for.

It's been a labor of love for the label's creative director Angela Missoni, who says working with Target has "been a fantastic experience." She added that she can't wait to share the results of the collaboration with American families.

The Missoni for Target collection is set to hit Target stores across America, including its online e-store, from September 13. The limited edition range will be displayed until October 22, although something tells me the best pieces won't last that long!

Linea Pelle is the latest handbag designer to launch a diffusion line through Target stores. The more affordable LPLP by Linea Pelle collection features fashion-forward handbags, belts, and jewelry. What a great way to celebrate the South Californian label's 25th birthday!

Handbags are Linea Pelle's signature items, and the ones from the diffusion line live up to that promise. Look for slouchy hobo bags embellished with edgy grommets, large daytime clutches, and casual shoulder bags in bright, seasonal colors. Linea Pelle's famous washed  Italian leather has been traded for synthetic, but we'd expect that compromise at this price point.

Linea Pelle co-founder and chief executive officer Meira S. Katz says her brand was committed to bringing all the style of the signature label into this diffusion line. She's also indicated that Linea Pelle will expand the collection in the coming months, so hopefully we'll see some brand new LPLP goodies released for summer.

Bags from the signature Linea Pelle Collection can cost at least $400, so it's amazing that the label has managed to replicate its signature style for so much less. The LPLP by Linea Pelle purses start at $9.99, and cost no more than $34.99. They're available now at Target stores across the United States and Target.com.

The Calypso St. Barth collection for Target will hit stores across America and online on May 1. That's perfect timing for girls looking to add a few new pieces to their summer wardrobes!

Gone are the bold primary colors and retro styling, replaced by neutral finishes and contemporary details.

With the Dauphine Stud Hobo, Eenamaria gives us a relaxed slouchy hobo with a rock and roll finish. Rows of round and pyramid studs curve around the bottom corners and top flap, giving the dark brown skin a healthy dose of attitude.

That skin isn't leather but polyurethane, although it does a really good job of mimicking the more expensive cowhide. In fact, this pebbled material actually looks richer than the PVC used in Eenamaria's more expensive line.

This is a well designed purse, with plenty of space and the features you need to stay organized. There's a large zippered pocket and pair of pouches inside, and two more pockets on the sides for items you need on hand.

There's a lot to like about the Dauphine, but it's so similar to other bags that we've all seen before. The label's signature look is gone, replaced by one that could suit any fashion house. These bags for Target may be more modern, but I find myself longing for Eenaamaria's unique mod vision.

Mulberry for Target handbags have landed at Target department stores across America, and they're flying off the shelves almost as quickly as they arrived.

This is a really impressive capsule collection, which manages to deliver exactly what we love about the British brand. Of course, there isn't quite the same level of luxury, but the fabrics don't feel like cheap imitations either. They range from classic blue denim and black velvet to more flamboyant patent pink leopard synthetic.

If you've always coveted Mulberry handbags but couldn't afford them, this limited edition range from Target is well worth exploring. There's everything from elegant satchels to cross-body bags and totes, and the most they cost is $49.99. In fact, some are even as cheap as $14.99!

I wouldn't wait very long to snap one up though. The bags are intended to be available through to December 24, but the way they're currently selling I doubt they'll be around that long!
