Jagger says it was "truly amazing" to be handpicked by Madonna and her daughter Lourdes "Lola" Leon for the job.

"I've always admired Madonna's style and I'm thrilled to be working with them," she added.

Jagger might still be living in her father's shadow but this is far from her first modelling gig. She's already graced the front covers of several leading fashion magazines including Vogue, ELLE, and Harper's Bazaar, walked the runway at Chanel's recent cruise show in France, and fronted campaigns for Rimmel and Hudson Jeans. No doubt this latest global advertising gig will see her star further rising.

The pop family's mommy and daughter Material Girl line is currently available in North America exclusively through Macy's stores, including its online outlet. Fans in Jagger's native United Kingdom will also be able to shop for Material Girl apparel and accessories in their country from the end of June.

Mila Kunis might have fronted Christian Dior's last advertising campaign, but that doesn't mean the fashion house has forgotten all about its long serving Lady Dior, Marion Cotillard. The French actress is back as the face of Lady Dior handbags in Christian Dior's latest commercials.

Peter Lindbergh captured Cotillard at the Communist Party headquarters in her Paris hometown. It seems like an unlikely spot for a fashion photo shoot, but the Oscar Niemeyer designed building is a surprising hot spot for the stylish elite. Prada held one of their famous parties there recently, and it's also hosted Thom Browne and Dries Van Noten's catwalk shows.

I liked Mila Kunis' turn for Christian Dior a few months ago, but in this commercial Cotillard shows why she's been the face of Lady Dior since 2009. The images are effortlessly sensual. Cotillard looks luminous as always, but her presence never distracts us too much from that luxurious crocodile and raffia purse she's carrying. Who do you think makes a better Christian Dior model?

Alice Dellal's appointment as the new face of Chanel raised a few eyebrows, but the advertisements for the fashion house's Boy collection should silence the critics. On paper the edgy young heavy metal drummer seems incongruous with Chanel's classic style, but Karl Lagerfeld's latest muse manages to add just the right amount of attitude to the campaign.

Kagerfeld himself shot the images on location at a lavish French chateau. Dellal pairs classic Chanel tweed and pearls with her Boy bag. The accessory is a bit more modern than the average Chanel purse, with its metallic alligator finish, heavy chains, and masculine box shape. The Boy acts as a bit of a bridge between the classic Chanel elements and Dellal's ripped stockings and nose ring.

A Chanel spokesperson declared "Alice Dellal represents the perfect incarnation of all that is unique about the Boy Chanel handbag collection, which strives [to be] far from conformist notions of femininity."

Looking at the finished advertisements, it's hard to argue with that summation. Dellal's punk rock vibe has brought this heritage brand into the 21st century, and it probably won't do her career any harm either.

Lindex says its latest ads are "inspired by the sporty, relaxed lifestyle that is characteristic of USA's East Coast gems, such as Long Island and the Hamptons, yet with a certain Scandinavian touch."

That makes Paltrow the perfect model really. She's still one of America’s sweethearts, but her fair hair and twinkling eyes give her a distinctively Scandinavian appearance. She really does represent the best of both worlds!

And she looks great wearing the apparel and accessories, including a nautical inspired striped shift dress, lightweight green cardigan, and large maritime tote. I'm sure that bag would be much more manageable if Paltrow used the shoulder straps, but she looks happy with her carrying choice, doesn't she?

Longchamp has taken a leaf out of Lanvin's playbook for its latest video advertising campaign.

This video, entitled Oh! My Bag! has the same kind of playful charm we saw in Lanvin's Pittbull soundtracked commercial. It seems Longchamp took note when Alber Elbaz showed us few things are as funny as dancing models. Canadian beauty Coca Rocha manages to keep pace with former ballerina Liisa Winkler and professional dancer Alexia Level. No doubt all the Irish dance training she did in her youth came in handy!

Acclaimed dancer and choreographer Bianca Li directed the video, which sees the trio skipping, high-kicking, and twirling about the streets of Manhattan, clearly excited that they're all carrying boldly colored Longchamp bags. I must admit to feeling thrilled when I've spotted someone holding a similar carryall, but the experience has never inspired me to bust a move!

This video sees Longchamp looking more youthful than it has in ages. I only wish the models hadn't been so careless with their designer bags at the video's close! Handbag sins aside, it's so refreshing to see the French brand letting its hair down and really cutting loose. What do you think of its latest marketing ploy?

French heiress Claire Courtin-Clarins shows off the streets of her Paris hometown and Louis Vuitton's latest Epi bags in the French fashion house's latest advertising campaign, dubbed Epi is Magic.

The Epi has been one of Louis Vuitton's most enduring lines since its introduction in the 1980s. Personally I find its woodgrain inspired texture much more appealing than Louis Vuitton's popular signature materials. It's unusual to see such a timeless line starring in its own commercials, but some modern new colors mean it's time to take another look.

Those hues really outshine Claire Courtin-Clarins and the Parisian backdrop in these commercials. The model and streets are muted, which allows the new colors including cyan canard, fuchsia, menthe green, prune purple, and citron yellow to shine. This youthful color palette transforms recognizable styles like the Alma, Petit Noe, and Tricolore Noe into fresh new fashion statements.

Claire Courtin-Clarins holds her own in these striking commercials, but I'm more impressed with photographer Fabrice Laffont's contribution. His advertisements are so creative, yet they never get so clever that we lose sight of the handbags. And after all, no matter which celebrities are employed to accompany them, those accessories should be the stars of any advertising campaign.

After a long association with the brand, Grace Kelly's granddaughter and the fourth in line to Monaco's throne will front a four-part series for the Italian fashion house’s Forever New campaign.

As Casiraghi is an able horse rider and show-jumper, it makes sense that Vogue photographer Peter Lindbergh will shoot an equestrian themed marketing campaign. Horse inspired elements have been signature Gucci for decades, and Casiraghi's heritage makes her perfect for bringing the sport to life for the brand.

It's unusual to see a fashion label looking to the world’s royal families for models, but Casiraghi is no stranger to the brand. Gucci has made her show-jumping team's uniforms for the last two years. I'm sure most of the other teams didn't look quite so posh on the Global Champions Tour. She's also been spotted regularly wearing Gucci couture to high class events. And let's not forget that her grandmother Grace Kelly regularly wore Gucci's designs. It's also quite fitting to look to such an established family to front the commercials for Forever Now, a line which celebrates Gucci's 90-year heritage.

We generally associate Moss with more luxurious labels than the Spanish brand, but the British beauty looks lovely here. Perhaps she was persuaded to take the gig as acclaimed photographer Terry Richardson was behind the lens.

He certainly brought out the best in Miss Moss, but I'm not sure he's done justice to the casual messenger bag she's carrying. The monochromatic effect disguises the handbag's finer features, making it appear like a great big black blob. The shoes and shift dress come off looking good, but as an exercise in selling a handbag it fails.

Mango said it looked to Kate Moss "because she is a world-famous fashion icon, making her one of the most sought-after models in the fashion world."

It's a bit disappointing that it seems she was hired for her status rather than her appropriateness for the brand, but there's no denying she'll draw eyeballs to the campaign.

Kate Moss follows in the footsteps of other notable Mango models including Penelope Cruz, Olivia Palermo, Claudia Schiffer, and the most recent face, Scarlett Johansson. Do you think she's a good fit for the Spanish fashion label?

Chanel is spruiking its new Boy Chanel handbag collection with a silent short film called My New Friend Boy.

In the tradition of The Artist comes this short cinematic treat starring Chanel's current muse and the face of the Boy Chanel line, Alice Dellal. The model and musician plays a silver screen siren of the 1920s who dines alone, pens a mysterious letter, and searches for the covetable Boy Chanel bags. I don't blame her enthusiasm as the Boy Chanel purses will be priced between $2500 and $4300! Such luxurious handbags are the sort of accessories we all want to get our mitts on!

Alice Dellal rarely appears as feminine as she does in this short film, shot by Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld. However he's been careful to not give her too much polish. Her torn fishnet stockings, white hooded biker jacket, and her distinctive half-shaven head give her just the right amount of edge.

Dellal is a lot more rebellious than the typical Chanel face, but I think her individuality makes this classic fashion house seem much more contemporary. She has such presence on screen, and that magnetism helps Chanel's short film stand out amongst all the others released lately. What's your take on My New Friend Boy?

These commercials aren't anywhere near as cheesy as so many of the Asian ads we've seen Hollywood A-Listers in. But they're also not as innovative as many of the fashion spreads we see in the Western world.

It's been a while since I've seen Megan Fox looking so natural. Her usual blood red pout is replaced with a much paler pink, and her ebony hair is soft and loose. Perhaps she should try this pared back appearance on the next red carpet! Personally I think it's a much more feminine look than the darkly dramatic face she shows in the new Armani beauty commercials.

Fox's uncharacteristically muted appearance ensures she doesn't steal the focus from MetroCity's classic handbags. In fact, these advertisements may be just what MetroCity needs to gain new fans in the United States. The label is largely unknown in the West, but casting Megan Fox in its spring/summer 2012 commercials is great way to attract new eyeballs.
