And given the quality of the synthetic, it just might last long enough for you to see that benefit. You might expect a flimsy fabric for this cheap and cheerful price, but the synthetic here is of the heavy duty variety. It's still not as opulent as leather, but it's not a bad substitute.

The Greveinchianti retails for an affordable $50, but you can find it discounted online for as low as $7.98. What a steal for something so fun, frivolous and fabulous! It goes without saying that it won't suit the more reserved fashion fans out there, but it's definitely caught my eye.

Solange Knowles, the soul singing sister of Beyonce Knowles, is the latest victim of handbag theft. The singer awoke on Sunday to find her handbag and bicycle gone.

Solange is always seen carrying a hot handbag from edgy upcoming labels like CC Skye and Samantha Thavasa. Yet she seems more torn up about losing the bike, which was a gift from two close friends.

"Thank you whoever stole my bag and my fave yellow bye-sick-cool [bicycle]. I hope you ride it really fast then trip on a stick and fall," Solange wrote on her Twitter page. "That bike was a gift from two of my besties [best friends] ... & I've had it for some good years. I'll never be able to replace the memorys [sic]."

But the singer is remaining positive despite her loss, adding "Thank God they didn't steal me. There's always a bright side."

Indeed! She may not be able to replace a bike with such sentimental value, but I'm sure there are plenty of designers willing to give her a new purse!

Cross-body bags tend to be big and bulky affairs. There's convenience in that oversized approach, but not a lot of style. Elliott Lucca delivers a daintier option with the Trieste.

This is one smooth operator, with its inverted pleat design and chic braided strap. The textured leather is incredibly soft, and surprisingly considering the $98 price tag, the real deal. I guess by keeping the size down, Elliott Lucca could afford to give us the genuine article! The poppy red is a real show-stopper, while this boysenberry bag is so dark it could easily pass as a neutral.

The dimensions are closer to a small clutch than a cross-body bag, so it won't suit everybody. There's a long zippered pocket for change, which I'd use instead of taking my wallet. That frees up the main compartment for carrying your cell phone, keys, and a tube of gloss. A zip top keeps the essentials in place, leaving you free to get on with your day.

The Trieste refuses to follow the trend for oversized bags, which is what makes it such an intriguing option! This is an affordable and stylish purse for those who don't want to follow the pack.

I'm not really a fan of Juicy Couture. I just get tired of its overly-embellished aesthetic. But this bag is pretty dope, and basically a steal.

I'm actually really surprised by how pared down and minimal this bag is. It's not really what I've come to expect from Juicy. The only sparkly dangly thing about it is the charm, and I bet you could pry it off if you hate it.

Otherwise, the bag is made of supple leather, with asymmetrical seam detail that makes it a little more interesting. The gold hardware is subtle and chic.

And, moreover, the Etiquette is basically the perfect size. Big enough for a paperback book (you know, or a Kindle), but too small for a laptop. And the price, at $300, is amazing. I'd totally snap this one up if I was in the market for a new everyday bag
