Bulga Bairam Tote | Green Leather Tote with Organizing Pockets

I'm a fan of Bulga handbags, but sometimes I think that the brand just modifies a few signature styles. In particular, the brand tends to favor a rounded-top satchel with double handles.

The Bulga Marquis, Adore, and Zaraf satchels all follow this silhouette, and now the Bairam tote can join the bunch. As with the other designs, there isn't much about this handbag that isn't likable. Its traditional appearance and classic styling will likely appeal to a broad range of shoppers.

On the other hand, there's not a lot about the Bairam that stands out as remarkable to me either. It isn't particularly stunning or surprising in any way except perhaps this dark green color option and the cute, little kiss-lock coin pocket on the front. The exterior and interior pockets are extremely helpful but also exactly what I'd expect from the brand and this style.

A lack of unexpected features doesn't mean it's not worth a look, though. We all need at least one trusty, go-with-just-about-everything type of tote that can be carried to the office, on errands, and just around town. This may or may not be the right choice depending on your price point since $510 is a little steep to some budgets, but it's a nice option for a simple, well-made handbag.

Botkier Marcel Satchel | Structured Handbag with Woven Metallic Detail

I liked the look of the Botkier Marcel Clutch, but I'm loving the contemporary style even more on this larger satchel silhouette.

Take away the kiss-lock closure and folded sides and add in a few other details, and the Marcel satchel is basically a supersized version of the clutch. That could be a negative thing if the Marcel style didn't have so many great things going for it. However, everything I like about the clutch makes me like the satchel even more.

The unique woven metallic strips detail on the front is more prominent and eyecatching on this larger handbag. Although the satchel is also available in a shiny champagne color just like the clutch in the previous review, I'm more drawn to the look of the gold squares set off brilliantly by the black background of the main body. It's unfortunate that the stunning detail doesn't continue to the back of the purse as well.

Contemporary woven feature aside, the Marcel's structured handbag shape almost has a vintage-ish shape to it. Some might even prefer to classify it as a doctor bag rather than a satchel. The double handles are a nice length for comfortable carrying, and a fun tassel on the zipper adds some flair.

As expected, the price of the satchel runs a little higher than the clutch version. The difference is actually a few hundred dollars, but the size of this designer handbag and the unique look makes it worth the cost.

Ashley M Bow Tie Evening Bag | Fun Pink Sequined Party Purse

Ashley M is one of those rare fashion labels which doesn't take itself too seriously. Its accessories are unashamedly cheap and cheerful, flights of fancy that favor fun over chic styling.

That's definitely the case with this bow tie purse. It's not intended to suit a red carpet occasion or night at the theater. It's much more at home at a retro party or loud karaoke night with girls.

Its large sequins and even bigger bow all scream "look at me!" There’s nothing shy or retiring about this combination. The shoulder strap could be a little longer, but I'm thankful for its soft satin finish. It's the kind of strap that knows girls tend to show bare shoulders on a night out!

This fuschia purse is the brightest and boldest bow tie bag. Black, wine, and olive green are much more subdued. But I figure if you're going to carry a bag covered in sequins and a great big bow, why not go all the way?

This Ashley M purse isn't the height of fashion, but it's not trying to be. For just $30, it's a fun accessory for those nights when you want to let your hair down.

Goldenbleu Christi Clutch | Cute Purse in Patent and Matte Diamonds

Coin purses have always been popular with those who like cute bags that come in tiny sizes. The traditional kiss-lock closure and slouchy thus spacious shape make them an attractive design with a healthy dose of functionality. This over-sized version from Goldenbleu acts as a clutch, yet with all the sweet features of our old coin purses.

The shape is obviously pretty, and the kiss-lock clasp is an age-old design that rarely breaks as well as looking good. The exterior sexy leather design, however, is what makes this bag really quite beautiful. In a bright diamond pattern contrasting blood red patent squares with a more muted matte shade, this oozes style as well as a stylized cubist-yet-60's vibe. The effect disappears somewhat on the black option, but is very desirable in red.

Looks-wise this Goldenbleu clutch is flawless, from the monogrammed faux suede interior with its matching red trim to the glossy metal frame. It is also pretty functional, although the interior of this patent wonder is perhaps smaller than one would hope for. The main drawback is the lack of any sort of handle. Whilst clutches are meant to be clutched, they need to be carried easily too!

Hobo International Robin Wallet | Small Leather Pocketbook with Organization

Hobo International has quite a collection of simple and practical leather wallets. Styles like the Lauren and the Eden might have more room since they're classified as both wallet and clutch, but the Robin is perfect for storing cash and cards in your purse.

The leafy green color is great for fall, but it's not the only option for this Hobo International bag. The Robin is actually available in a rainbow of colors from which to choose. Although a few of them, like the bright aqua and sorbet pink, might be more springish. However, since this is an accessory that goes inside a bag, that's not really an issue.

The interior is typical of what you'd expect from a wallet with slots for credit cards and IDs with a zippered area for cash and other valuables. The kiss-lock coin pouch on the front is both cute and convenient.

Like most Hobo International products that I've come across, the Robin is crafted from a nice quality of leather. The brushed metal hardware around the front coin pocket is a nice complement to any of the color choices. Priced at $78, it might seem a little high for a wallet to some people, but the timeless style and great quality make it something you won't need to replace any time soon.

Hobo International Lauren Clutch | Luxe Quilted Evening Purse

In my humble opinion, there is nothing that makes a handbag seem more luxurious than some comfy luxurious padded quilting. With an elegant and classy diamond quilting exterior, this pretty clutch from Hobo international is ready for every party you can throw at it.

Whilst the burgundy cushioning is sexy and reminiscent of Chanel handbags, the design of this clutch is actually very simple. The silver hardware frame adds a touch of elegance, but if you are after something a little different? Well, this sophisticated clutch probably ain't it.

Whilst I am a great fan of drawing inspirations from big brands such as Chanel, I am also aware that if a clutch costs $128, you want it to have a unique and convincing luxury characteristic. Whilst the outside looks may not be that special, the inside does have some great and functional touches.

One side of this Hobo international clutch opens out to reveal a sexy and useful red leather lined notes purse/wallet with space for your ID and everything you need. It then also opens with a sexy kiss clasp closure revealing a neutral floral interior. Classy.

All in all this is a posh yet different bag that is a lot more inventive on the inside than on the quilted outside.

Elegant Santi Jewelled Silk Purse | Slouchy Beaded Designer Evening Bag

In true Santi style, this elegant evening purse is a riotous affair of classy beading, detailed embroidery and slouchy refined quality. Following in the footsteps of this bright and cheery Santi purse, this is yet another 20's style beaded beauty to keep you company through winter.

I particularly like the sophisticated and unusual colors that this luxury designer has chosen for this slouchy clutch. Like glimmering jewels, they are all colors associated with elegance and high-class. My favorite is the bright and sexy ruby red, but they also produce emerald and sapphire colors, as well as a thoroughly royal deep purple shade.

Whilst the design is synonymous with casual yet classy Santi style, I do have to comment on the fact that this purse does look slightly like a strange underwater creature! As long as it remains nonpoisonous, however, I can probably get past the over-the-top shape and decoration and learn to love its beaded brilliance!

As always with beaded bags, you are guaranteed to feel a little bit 20's flapper girl with this clutched by your feminine side. Be careful to pair it with the right clothes, as over-dramatic coordination will result in a look that is a little bit "too much". However, if you wear it right this clutch with its sumptuous satin interior will see you all the way.

This is a dramatic and elegant evening bag that would look totally out of place in the light of day. Be careful with it; it's fragile!

This sassy little Lips clutch is from Beth Ditto's collection for Evans. It seems the curvy Gossip frontwoman has taken her cues from Lulu Guinness with this playful little number.

Pouting red lips are Lulu Guinness' trademark, but here they're given a whimsical makeover. The traditional scarlet shade is swapped for striking white embellished with tiny black polka dots. A matching tie complements the lips, while both contrast with the black patent exterior. Of course, £25 doesn't buy genuine patent leather, but this polyester equivalent has just as much gloss.

The lips are more than just a fashion feature though. They also add interest to the shaped cut-out handle. It's a fun accent, if not an entirely practical one. The lip shape is likely to make this one even more awkward to handle than a typical oval or rectangle hole. But it does give the clutch a fun look, which may be worth the sacrifice.

This is a purse which screams retro, from the polished exterior to the trapezoidal shape. Pair it with a sexy black dress and bright red lipstick to make a real impression.

Christian Louboutin has a cult of followers as loyal as any in fashion, and with timeless, elegant designs like these, it's easy to see why. The whimisical bow-shaped Cadeau clutch is quirky enough to add a little extra je ne sais quoi to your ensemble without looking dated or trendy.

Firstly, the color is so spot on that it creates a spectacle of its own. The tone of the lush blue velvet will stand alone, but it also won't clash with black. And the warmth of the gold hardware picks up the undertones and the sheen of the fabric beautifully.

The size is perfect for cocktail parties and evening events: big enough to be noticed (and to carry a few essentials), but small enough that your handbag doesn't become the central interest of your outfit. Personally, I wouldn't fill it too full, as inner contents will eventually press against the outer fabric and distort the beautiful shape of the bow, so this is definitely better for ladies who are comfortable packing light.

The signature Louboutin kiss lock top is classic and perfect, as always. I love the red enamel soles at the bottom of the stilettos; it's such a subtle, sweet touch. Overall, I'm just crazy for this clutch. Everything but the price works for me. At $995, it's a little our of my league, but it's also a good investment bag due to its versatility.
