This particular bag does come in a variety of colours to keep things exciting, and will be really handy for nipping onshore and catching up on your shopping. A good few eye patches should fit inside this one (am I taking the analogy too far?)! If you want one for even cheaper than the $19.99 price tag, however, then why not think about transferring images onto your own plain bag?

Baggu Introduces New Affordable and Eco-Friendly Duck Bag to Their Collection

Baggu's line of reusable shopping totes are environmentally-friendly, durable, and as stylish as a replacement for plastic grocery bags can be. Actually, these tough, little ripstop nylon bags are popular for more than just supermarket shopping since their cute style options, including stripes, florals, and other prints, make them appropriate for everyday use as well.

Well, now the company that brought you the Baggu Tote has added a new sibling to their collection of totes. Instead of ripstop nylon, however, this one is made from 100% recycled cotton canvas.

The recently debuted Duck Bag is as equally sturdy as the original Baggu Tote but with a different shape and convenient features. The short double handles don't seem very practical, but the longer adjustable shoulder strap is great for wearing across the body while running errands or toting around books, paperwork, or even a laptop.

The label was a labor of love for the new mom, in more ways than one. In fact, Linda was finalizing details of her website launch while in labor with her first son Will!

Canopy Verde's extensive collection features bags of all shapes and sizes. The cute Pomelo and Calamint clutches are ideal for casual evenings out. The oversized Dewberry tote is perfect for moms with its bottle holders and easy-clean lining. The Cassia is the granddaddy of the bunch, with its expansive interior ready for weekend getaways.

Burberry’s Sales Up Despite Financial Crisis | British Handbag Brand Defies Global Trends

British luxury brand Burberry has followed up its successful showing at London Fashion Week with improved sales figures.

The group's shares are up by more than 3%, thanks to the enthusiasm for Burberry's fall and winter collections. Handbags and casual outerwear proved particularly popular with shoppers preparing for cold weather.

Like-for-like sales in Burberry outlets rose by 5% in the quarter to the end of September, compared to the flat performance seen in the year's first quarter.

The luxury brand sold best in the United Kingdom, buoyed by tourists taking advantage of the weak pound.

"Today's statement confirms our view that the Burberry brand is likely to continue to outperform the rest of the luxury sector in the current difficult environment," said Dennis Weber, analyst for Evolution Securities.

It's great to see iconic brands like Burberry continuing to thrive despite the economic downturn. With some analysts predicting the worst is over, it seems the only way is up for this revamped British label.

New HealthyStuff Website Warns of Toxic Materials in Popular Handbags

The Center for Environmental Health has long warned us of the dangerous levels of lead and other toxins in our handbags. Now the non-profit group has joined forces with other environmental groups to launch a website which explains whether the accessories we covet are safe.

Healthystuff.org details test results for more than 5000 products, including the presence of lead, mercury, arsenic, and at what levels. The database features handbags and other items, including toys for children and pets, and cars. The site plans to include more products, including mattresses, in time.

"It's not right that people have to be in this position of not knowing what's safe to buy at the stores," said Michael Green from the Center for Environmental Health. "What the database can do for the public is if they're thinking about buying something that they think might have lead, they can actually look it up."

Another spokesperson for the group Carolyn Cox warned that high levels of lead, especially common in yellow handbags, can be absorbed through the carrier's skin. That can be very harmful, particularly to the unborn children of pregnant bagistas. Purses from Aldo, Nine West, and Guess have all scored poorly on the site.

I love cheery yellow handbags, but this online resource has made me think twice about carrying one of my own!
