Timmy Woods does occasionally produce some genius bags. Lovingly constructed out of luxury materials, they are glossy and unusual and more like art than a handbag.

When not designing these purses, however, Timmy Woods has a strange fondness for novelty bags. With bags like this little Kris Kingle Christmas purse it is apparent that she may well be completely and utterly bonkers!

Don't get me wrong; the purse is gently amusing and definitely a conversation starter. I just struggle to see how anyone could carry this around with a shred of seriousness, unless they were one of the few people that are so incredibly cool and kitsch that they can happily exist in a different dimension of taste to the rest of us.

That said, with Christmas coming, the time for tacky bags and strange political statements is upon us, and if you want a gold hatted Santa Claus wearing cute miniature glasses then this Timmy Woods purse may be the only one available!

What more can I say?! This will spread Christmas cheer and insanity without doubt!

Sarah Jessica Parker Flaunts Christian Louboutin Hobo as Carrie for “Sex and the City 2″ Movie

Get ready for the media frenzy and paparazzi obsession. The infamous gals of Sex and the City are back to filming for the newest installment in the movie franchise, and the first images of filming are quite promising.

Expect more luxurious fashion and over-the-top outfits from the quirky and lovable character Carrie Bradshaw. Although we still don't know in what direction the writers are taking Carrie for Sex and the City 2, we can definitely expect that the wardrobe department will be draping her in all kinds of designer clothes, bags, and shoes.

One of the first images from the filming to hit the web shows Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie taking a jaunt down a New York City street wearing an ensemble that women everywhere will covet. Out are the beloved Manolos, and in is a nice, little combination of Christian Louboutin shoes and handbag.

The shoes are gorgeous, but the bag is quite an eyecatcher. The rather enormous (as in, SJP could probably curl up inside of it) Sylvia Large Drapey Hobo is hard to miss in what appears to be a bright pink color. There's nothing subtle about it, but it sure is stylish and quite a far cry from her Timmy Woods Eiffel Tower bag in the first film.

Kooba Riley Duffel Bag | Sophisticated Pebbled Black Leather Turnlock Handbag

It might be called a duffel, but this Kooba Riley is like no duffel bag that I've ever seen.

The traditional cylinder shape is gone, replaced with a chic angular design. Handy side pockets flare out to create the contemporary look, complemented by the modern lines of the large front pocket. The pebbled black leather is a timeless choice, offset by shiny silver hardware. The sexy round turnlock is the most striking, but the side snap tabs and zippers add a little more flash.

While Kooba enjoys playing with the duffel, at least its functional reputation is maintained. The sizeable interior space is well organized, with the obligatory zip and slip pockets, a pen slot, and a key hook. The double rolled handles are just long enough for carrying over your shoulder and or on your arm.

It might be just as practical, but don't expect to use the Riley as a traditional duffel. It's much more at home in the office or a cocktail bar than a sweaty gym!

Alexander Wang Coco Duffel Bag | Leather Luxury Gold Studded Handbag

Mary Kate Olsen has been swanning about town with her Alexander Wang Coco bag for months, while we all looked on enviously. But now this studded beauty is set for global release, so we can all get in on the action.

The Coco sets itself apart from the pack with two exciting features: the leather and the studs. Black leather is nothing new, but buffalo leather is certainly special. The washed hide has a luxurious texture and a sumptuously soft finish.

I'd worry about damage to that soft leather if it weren't for the studs dotting the base. While most bags opt for four or five protective feet, Alexander Wang takes no chances and covers the bottom in gold hardware. It gives the Coco an edgy look while being completely practical at the same time.

A top zip opens to reveal a decadently large interior. If only the designer had considered how easy it would be for most of us to clutter that room up! I might be a scatterbrain, but I'd suggest the zippered pocket won't be nearly enough to keep most busy girls organized.

If you're a wisp of a thing like Mary Kate, you'll be able to carry this handbag over your shoulder. But average misses will yearn for straps that are just a little longer. I certainly wouldn't want to carry this bulky bag by hand around the city.

Practical concerns aside, this is one sexy purse. And for $850, it's really not bad as far as high-end designer handbags go!

Galian Vintage Style Woven Suede Handbag | Cinnamon Colored Hobo Tote

Casual is the theme of today. I'm talking spacious bags with tons of rustic charm. Soft luxurious fabrics and simple but effective designs.

The pick of today? This supple and vintage-style leather tote. It is great because the suede is not only sexy and deliberately distressed, but quite unique. In particular, the woven front design really adds an air of something special.

Of course, this cinnamon tote is more than just a little bit country and western. It is the tassels that do it, bringing to mind cowboys and hay-bales. Thankfully this would look as at home carrying your belongings through a city as it would in the great outdoors. A multitasker, most definitely!

The interior of this suede hobo isn't quite as classy as the lovely chestnut exterior. In a too-shiny deep brown, it is good that you can't see it at first glance. That said, as long as it holds your purse and cell then the interior is doing it's job.

Work the vintage theme with this casual woven tote, a great hold-all for action packed lives.

Timmy Woods Faith Handbag | Wood Grain Exterior Purse

Timmy Woods does it again. As always, this bag is a work of art; just one that you can carry with you to hot fashion events in the city and make intelligent yet sexy conversation with glorious man-boys from underwear shoots. It makes like Sex and the City, and this truly is where a bag like this belongs.

So what is so special about it? The polished wood exterior shines with strong grain, and is embossed with a diagonal square pattern. Reminiscent of snakeskin and 70s interiors, the pattern draws out the feminine grain and makes the piece quite something to look at.

Beautiful as it is, with it's stylized beaded handle, this bag is strangely similar to a hipflask, all square shapes and curved corners. Alcoholic associations aside, however, it is supremely classic, taking furniture styling and creating an item you can wear. Not that I've ever felt the urge to wear a chair, but in this situation it really works!

The downsides, as with all bags that are more fashion than sense, are obvious. Space is always an issue, and the bag has no flexibility, so you can take your phone and card and that's about it! The handle is small and somewhat pretentious, although it does look good.

If you want art and fashion, this is the bag for you. Just don't confuse paying lots of money with buying lots of practicality. Not a chance!

Oh, and your boyfriend will be quite happy to carry this around for you, as it shouts sensible leather beauty, not girly weekend away! If you are worried about the bag being too blokey, however, don't worry. The cute black and white gingham lining complete with zipper pockets will suit all your girly needs.

My conclusion? Jessica Simpson has upped the celebrity designer game, with a travel bag that will last for more than one season, and through plenty of exotic trips. It's subtle, luxurious and feminine. Delightful!

Bottega Veneta Designer Tote | Woven Nappa Leather Expandable Handbag

As you may have noticed, totes are the recurrent theme with handbag style icons of the moment. With plenty of space and tons of practicality, these beauties come in a huge array of shapes and sizes, ranging from massive hold-alls through to the small hand-held classics.

This bag is one of those classics - lightweight and beautiful, but with plenty of storage space and that instantly recognizable rectangular shape. Whilst definitely coming in under the "compact" heading, this basket tote expands to an impressive 8 inches of storage space in three compartments; easily enough room for a few folders or a couple of pairs of Jimmy Choos!

The bag is undeniably attractive. The woven white Nappa leather is sublimely soft, and the bag is lined in luscious tan suede, making a day-to-day item into a piece of luxury hanging noticeably off your arm. It is the sort of must have that the Sex and the City girls would have died for! My only hesitation is the handle. For such a big bag, I worry that the short leather handles would impair your ability to carry it around easily.

Now for the major drawback, however. Bottega Veneta are the Italian creators of some of the most luxurious clutches, purses and handbags around. Their timeless style results in timeless prices; that is, prices it would take you forever to pay off! This diamond retails at approximately $3000! No matter how nice a bag, a price like this is inconceivable. But all is not lost. Secondhand or used items can be found for hundreds less on eBay!

Christian Louboutin Pillow Leather Clutch | Edgy And Glamorous Champagne Leather Clutch

Christian Louboutin is like the patron saint of sexy glamour. Between his sky high stilettos and his ultra-luxe handbags, the man has the market cornered on covetable accessories.

This champagne leather clutch isn't really what I expect of Louboutin, but it's not entirely out of character, either. The Pillow Leather Clutch just has a lot more going on than Louboutin's typically sleeker style. 

The combination of asymmetrically placed gold zippers and intersecting pleats gives the bag a lot of attitude and texture. The addition of the clear plastic zipper pulls is perhaps a little too much for some, but it lends a futuristic vibe to a bag that is otherwise really rock-n-roll.

I always appreciate a chain link shoulder strap, not because it is practical, or even comfortable, but there is something very blasé and carefree about the look that wins me over almost every time. To be truthful, the color scheme on the bag is a little confusing. I love the shiny gold hardware against the soft shade of the leather, but the addition of the plastic makes the bag look somewhat clashing and overworked. 

This is a cute clutch for a girl who likes a lot of embellishment on her bag, but I think some of us will save the $1,295 for the next Louboutin that comes around.
