I normally throw my support behind any new eco-friendly bags, but I must admit that this Baggu line has me scratching my head.

The brand has taken its popular reusable shopper and added a president. I'm not quite sure who would want to carry a shopper with the screen printed face of Abraham Lincoln on it, but those patriotic history lovers are sure to be pleased.

Like all Baggu bags, this limited edition Lincoln shopper is made from ripstop nylon. This fabric is lightweight, and guaranteed not to tear when carrying cans and other groceries weighing up to 25 pounds. It big enough to hold the equivalent of two or three plastic bags, but folds up into a 5 x 5 inch pouch, so you can stash it away in your handbag or pocket. Supermarket spills are no problem, as this Baggu bag is machine washable.

At $12, this Baggu bag works out to be more expensive than the brand's typical multipacks. But it is a little more fun than the traditional single-color options.

Baggu Introduces New Affordable and Eco-Friendly Duck Bag to Their Collection

Baggu's line of reusable shopping totes are environmentally-friendly, durable, and as stylish as a replacement for plastic grocery bags can be. Actually, these tough, little ripstop nylon bags are popular for more than just supermarket shopping since their cute style options, including stripes, florals, and other prints, make them appropriate for everyday use as well.

Well, now the company that brought you the Baggu Tote has added a new sibling to their collection of totes. Instead of ripstop nylon, however, this one is made from 100% recycled cotton canvas.

The recently debuted Duck Bag is as equally sturdy as the original Baggu Tote but with a different shape and convenient features. The short double handles don't seem very practical, but the longer adjustable shoulder strap is great for wearing across the body while running errands or toting around books, paperwork, or even a laptop.

The Duck Bag retails for an extremely affordable $18 and is currently available in eight colors, though I'm guessing the options will expand as the tote gains popularity. Get your own (plus maybe a few extra for Christmas gifts) on Baggu's website.

LeSportsac Travel Tote | Striped Nylon Weekend Bag with Matching Cosmetic Pouch

Travel doesn't always necessitate luxury style. Although I'm sure there are plenty of women who would disagree with that statement (mostly the ones that can't travel without Louis Vuitton luggage), I think that plenty of others just want a practical but cute bag to get them through the airport or road trips.

Although the Travel Tote comes in many of LeSportsac's most popular and colorful patterns, including polka dots and bicycles, this multi-colored stripe is quite cute and playful. The blend of colors are appealing and not too loud.

Land’s End Launches New Line of Eco-Friendly Bags Made from Recycled Plastic Bottles

I wouldn't exactly call catalog company Land's End a brand on the cutting edge of fashion, but they are making some advances in eco-friendly production.

The retailer is adding a new line of "green" bags to its collection of apparel and accessories. The new products include backpacks, messenger bags, totes, and travel bags in a practical ripstop polyester made from recycled plastic bottles. The intricate process of creating the fabric results in a marriage of environmentally-conscious and durable.

Shannon Lelouch, director of product development for the company, summed it up another way:

"At Lands' End, we always look for ways to develop new and innovative products that our customers will value and appreciate. The new Eco-friendly collection offers a perfect combination of green innovation, performance and functionality. It's a great green choice for any age."

The line of recycled bottle bags ranges from $24.50 for a simple tote to $129.50 for the carry-on travel bag with a padded laptop pocket. They hits Land's End website and catalogs just in time for students heading back to school.

This LeSportsac Basic Backpack might live up to its name because of its simple book bag design. It has all the typical components of the style, but there are some signature details that make this backpack a step above others.

If you prefer understated colors, you're probably better off opting for a classic Jansport backpack, which is more in keeping with the "basic" tag. However, for students who like a little twist on traditional, this LeSportsac bag fits the bill.

LeSportsac Sleepaway Backpack | Large Bag in Ripstop Nylon Material

School might be letting out for summer break soon, but the need for a backpack doesn't disappear with homework. Even if, as an adult, you don't need it for books or sleepover gear, this type of bag still has plenty of convenient uses as a travel or hiking bag and more.

Not everyone will appreciate the quirky print on this LeSportsac Sleepaway Backpack, a common feature for the brand. However, if you love offbeat or whimsical fashion, you'll love this print by Dutch artist Bfree. The compilation of clouds, rainbows, and other cartoon drawings is definitely unique.

I find it a little difficult to justify spending nearly $130 on a backpack, but the Sleepaway is significant in size with tons of pockets, which might be worth the price if you need a bag this large. It also made of extremely sturdy ripstop nylon making it practical and long-lasting.

If the Sleepaway is too cutesy or bigger than what you're looking for in a backpack, you might want to look at the LeSportsac Morgan Mini instead.
