Gucci is a label associated with classic style and sophistication ... but there's little of that here. The bohemian styling of the Irina may perplex die-heart Gucci-ites, but it's found new fans amongst free-spirited stylistas.

The basic white leather body is jazzed up with gleaming gold accents. The centerpiece is the flowery detail crafted from large golden hearts. The hearts and flowers theme might be perfect for the hippie crowd, but the execution is a little off for me. Honestly, it looks like something I'd expect to see in the teen section of a department store. Of course, the brand's still charging Gucci prices. This tote will set you back a whopping $2650. The price seems inflated, but what do I know? These babies walked off the shelves on their release, buoyed by their popularity amongst starlets like Lindsay Lohan.

The exterior doesn't impress me, and inside it's not much better. The zippered pocket and solo slip pouch might be adequate for a space this size, but I expect more than adequate when I'm paying more than $2k for it. A few more pockets for girly gadgets and a more luxurious lining would help to appease me.

The Irina tote seems like a bit of a misstep for Gucci, but it's been a popular one nonetheless!

Lindsay Lohan seems to be spending more time in the fashion world than on the silver screen these days, but I was still surprised to hear that Ungaro has hired the troubled actress. Lindsay will fill the very big shoes of Esteban Cortazar, working alongside new chief designer Estrella Archs as artistic adviser.

Ungaro's chief executive Mounir Moufarrige says he was looking to bring excitement to the brand, so perhaps hiring the tabloid favorite isn't so off-the-wall after all.

"Odds are it could work," Mr. Moufarrige explained. "I think the noise level around Lindsay will be very, very big."

While there might be buzz, Lindsay will have to come up with the goods if her appointment hopes to have any great impact on the brand. Designing leggings in one thing, but playing a key part in the creative vision of a major fashion house is something else.

Thankfully we won't have too long to wait before we see whether Mounir Moufarrige's gamble pays off. Lindsay and Estrella will debut their first collection for Ungaro at Paris Fashion Week in October.

Here's surprising twist for a Miu Miu ad campaign: there are no celebrities involved. I'm a little shocked, to by quite honest.

Considering that the label has previously pulled in the likes of Katie Holmes, Kirsten Dunst, and Lindsay Lohan, it's quite unexpected to see Prada's little sister showcasing actual career models in their ads. However, they have indeed chosen models to flaunt their latest fall/winter items.

Don't look for Kate Moss or Natalia Vodianova in these ads, however. The fresh faces of the autumn 09 campaign include Hannah Holman, Mimmi Söderström, and Ilda Lundqvist.

Fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott went with a minimalist design for Miu Miu. Without tabloid-heavy celebs and with a very muted color palette, these ads really highlight the exquisite textures of Miu Miu's fall/winter collection. Just check out that tweed coat and gorgeous studded handbag.

Balenciaga has wooed starlets like Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan with its contemporary handbags. Their purses are casual, yet always embody uptown chic. But the brand takes things down a notch with its Arena Giant Rope Duffel Bag.

The glazed electric blue leather is every inch as sophisticated as we'd expect from the Italian fashion house. The finish has a subtle gloss, without being quite as flashy as a patent. Honestly, when you're carrying an electric blue bag you don't need any more flash. A smattering of studs and side buckles add just enough edge, without overwhelming this simplistic design.

The large and luxurious body is what we'd expect from Balenciaga, but at the top the brand takes a left turn. A rope strap threads through silver hoops at the top of the bag. Really Balenciaga? Rope? The thick plaited strap looks far too relaxed for that lovely leather body. The rope gathers up the leather too, making it appear more like a casual drawstring purse than a high-end fashion accessory.

The problem is the Arena still has the high-end price tag. For $1295, I expect a purse with a little more sophistication than this.

"It will be absolutely, 100% accessible fashion for sure - for everybody," Rachel told People magazine. "There's no reason for me to do a luxury-level design. That's not who I am. I don’t think it’s what people want from me. I think that I would need to give people that fantasy becoming a reality. That's my job."

There's no word yet on what Rachel Zoe will call her first fashion collection, but we can expect to see it in stores next year.

I love the way the feminine navy blue blouse complements the slouchy blue and gold oversized clutch. Paired with some faded blue jeans, these statement pieces can really shine in the spotlight.

Lindsay may have fallen out of favor in recent years but these shots show she's still got star quality.
