Hermione Granger is all grown up now. Emma Watson, of Harry Potter movie fame, is the star of Burberry's most current advertising campaign.

When I first heard the rumors of the starlet appearing in the ads, I wasn't sure what to expect of her following in the footsteps of previous Burberry fashion models like Kate Moss and Lily Donaldson. Well, I was pleasantly surprised and even a little taken aback by this young actress' work for the campaign.

Let me just say that this girl knows how to work a camera. With some dramatic eye make-up and a few pouty-lipped male co-stars, Watson has transformed from pretty 19-year old gal to gorgeous fashion icon.

Of course, she's had a little experience in the modeling department, even having a personal session with Karl Lagerfeld for a recent photo shoot. It's not that I didn't think she'd do a nice job for Burberry. I just didn't expect such a lovely, mature look from her. She brings both youthfulness and class to the brand at the same time.

Some of the fall/winter Burberry handbags in the ads nearly take over Watson's small frame, though. I guess the oversize trend isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Click here to see more of the campaign.

You've seen the advertisement, now here's the video. Gucci has released this colorful clip showcasing its 2009 spring/summer collection.

Just like the print commercial, it stars Lily Donaldson, Abbey Lee, and Natasha Poly as Amazon women and Jonatan Frenk as a polished and poised Robinson Crusoe. It's also got Dutch superstar photographs Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin behind the lens.

This video gives us a closer look at the new Gucci handbags, which include a luscious red tassled hobo and a to-die-for slouchy ostrich leather bag. The sophisticated collection of man bags might even convince the love of your life to carry one.

These purses have so much personality, but it's a shame I can't say the same thing for the models. Sure they’re attractive specimens, but it's all surface with little substance. Their vacant expressions and slow, languorous movements might be sexy to some, but I think they're just snoozeworthy. I understand wanting the fashions to shine, but a handbag should never have more life in it than a human being!

Gucci has gone troppo with its spring/summer 2009 advertising campaign. The photo has a truly international flavor with models from all over the globe. Australian glamourpuss Abbey Lee stars alongside British beauty Lily Donaldson, Russian siren Natasha Poly, and Swedish sensation Jonatan Frenk.

The models look gorgeous in their colorful Gucci wardrobe, but it’s hard to look at them with that stunning snakeskin purse in the frame. With the jungle backdrop, it’s almost like the python handbag was created using one of the locals! The bold python print and polished gold-tone hardware give this bag a sophisticated style, but the casual slouch make it versatile enough to carry every day.

The tropical commercial was photographed by Dutch dynamic duo, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. I love the saturated colors they’ve used which make you feel the humidity and heat of the photo shoot. Look out for this gorgeous commercial in your favorite fashion mags now.

Burberry has released the lush images of its Spring 2009 campaign. And what better place to photograph a spring collection than outside amongst greenery? Petersham Nurseries just outside London was the chosen location for these organic advertisements.

The label paid tribute to its roots, with creative director Christopher Bailey recruiting Mario Testino to shoot an all-British cast. Professional models Lily Donaldson, Eden Clarke, Alexina Graham, and Richard Wyndham star alongside actor Alex Pettyfer, musicians George Craig and Sam Beeton, and photographer Emily Hope.

They're all wearing natural makeup to ensure they don't show up Burberry's statement jewelry, patterned dresses, trench coats, and of course, stunning handbags.

"I wanted the mood to be gentle, relaxed, romantic, and about a quiet, beautiful sense of luxury," Christopher Bailey told WWD.

There are so many gorgeous images in this collection, but I can't resist this photo of Lily Donaldson carrying the fabulous plaid Gardener Bag. Its large size and versatile monochromatic color scheme should make this stylish tote a massive hit.
