Miley Cyrus has proven herself as a television star, silver screen actress, and world class singer. Is there anything this pint-sized poppet can't do? Well we're about to see, with news Miley's about to add fashion designer to her resume.

But she won't go it alone. Miley is teaming up with red-carpet favorite Max Azria to create a junior fashion range for Walmart. The affordable and contemporary collection is set to include clothes, shoes, bags, and other accessories.

I must admit; I'm shocked Max Azria would stoop to releasing a department store range. This is the man who regularly dresses Halle Berry, Alicia Keys, and Angelina Jolie for the red carpet after all. But perhaps cash strapped teens deserve to enjoy Mr. Azria's legendary style as well!

He does share a history with Miley, who he happily dressed for the 2009 Grammy Awards, so this isn't completely left of field. She also plans to wear his designs for her Breakout tour this summer.

And Walmart has long realized the appeal of teen stars, showcasing collections by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Hilary Duff, and Taylor Swift in the recent past. I suppose a Miley Cyrus collection is the next logical step!

The Miley Cyrus and Max Azria for Walmart capsule line is scheduled to hit stores in August, just in time for the start of the new school year. All pieces are priced at less than $20.

I happen to be a huge fan of Botkier bags. In my opinion, the brand gets it right with their designs nearly 100% of the time.

Being the CEO of a fashion label probably isn't the most desired or secure job right now, even when that label is fully established. In fact, it might be that some of the up-and-coming designers are surprisingly a little better off than the seasoned ones.

Perhaps this was what prompted Elie Tahari's CEO Susan Kellog to resign from her post. It wouldn't surprise me to see more of the same throughout the struggling fashion industry, although that's just speculation for now.

The New York-based design company doesn't plan to go anywhere soon, though. With plans for expansion and celebrity fans like Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Garner, we'll probably continue to see Elie Tahari designs in stores for a long time ... just with a new CEO in charge.

Israeli born designer Elie Tahari has unveiled his new spring/summer 2009 ad campaign. It stars the stunning Italian model, Angelina Jolie lookalike Bianca Balti.

I love the way Terry Richardson has photographed Bianca, with his favorite flash techniques illuminating her dewy skin. I'm not sure anyone could make those clown-like Heather pants look good, but Bianca does her best with the gold spotted trousers.

Those harem pants might not have won me over, but I can't help drooling over her snakeskin satchel. It's called the Nico, and it's promising to be one of Elie Tahari's best-selling accessories this season. The pale python finish could so easily appear washed out, but the hand-painted gold detail and polished gold hardware gives the handbag some added flair.

You can get a jump on the next season's trends at one of Elie Tahari's boutiques. The spring/summer collection is currently available at the Atlanta, Bal Harbour, Boca Raton, Boston, East Hampton, Last Vegas, and New York stores.

A feisty Malaysian housewife went to extremes on Wednesday when her handbag was snatched by a motorcycle-riding thief. But she wasn't giving up her prized posession so easily. She gave chase on her own motorbike!

Possibly inspired by Angelina Jolie's bike chase in Tomb Raider the determined 41-year old woman chased the bag snatcher for 100 meters. After driving the thief down she intentionally crashed her bike into his, causing them both to fall off. She then screamed for help, attracting passersbys who apprehended the man.

The robber was handed over to police, who believe he was also involved in other bag snatching cases around the Cukai area of Northeast Malaysia.

We all know a good handbag is a woman's best friend, but how many women would have the guts to do something like this? I know I'd have surrendered mine! This is one serious case of girl power! It reminds me of some of these great stories about angry women toting handbags!
