Casual is the theme of today. I'm talking spacious bags with tons of rustic charm. Soft luxurious fabrics and simple but effective designs.
The pick of today? This supple and vintage-style leather tote. It is great because the suede is not only sexy and deliberately distressed, but quite unique. In particular, the woven front design really adds an air of something special.
Of course, this cinnamon tote is more than just a little bit country and western. It is the tassels that do it, bringing to mind cowboys and hay-bales. Thankfully this would look as at home carrying your belongings through a city as it would in the great outdoors. A multitasker, most definitely!
The interior of this suede hobo isn't quite as classy as the lovely chestnut exterior. In a too-shiny deep brown, it is good that you can't see it at first glance. That said, as long as it holds your purse and cell then the interior is doing it's job.
Work the vintage theme with this casual woven tote, a great hold-all for action packed lives.

Philip Lim is known for his very unique chic form of minimalism. Almost nothing of his is ever overthought, overdesigned, or gaudy. I say "almost nothing" only because every designer occasionally steps away from their trademark style, but the Mya hobo fits right in to Lim's usual aesthetic.
Runway models are usually just the vehicle for designers to best display their creative product. Rarely do these stylish walking mannequins produce the inspiration for the designer...except in one of the recent shows at New York Fashion Week.
It isn't often that you find a designer suede handbag, unless it's one of those fly-by-night, 80's inspired boho hobos, of course. Whether the shortage of suede accessories is due to current trends, or suede's reputation for indurability, I'm not sure. Either way, I'm glad the tide is turning, because not only does that reputation really only apply to shoes (who splashes their handbag around in puddles?), but I love the soft and aromatic appeal of suede.
Phillip Lim is known for producing minimalist objects with subtle and discrete charms, and the Tally tote certainly won't disappoint his biggest fans. Although at 15" x 18.5", the bag is big enough to be used as an overnighter, its generous size doesn't keep it from fitting right in with the rest of Lim's sleek, pared-down desgns.
Phillip Lim's signature minimalism sure went out the window on this one. If he proved his versatility with the
Phillip Lim shows his versatility as a designer with this contemporary take on a classic. The design of the 3.1 Doctor's Bag combines his minimalist approach with urban details, making it a decidedly downtown interpretation of an uptown style.
Phillip Lim's recently released 3.1 line of handbags is already turning heads, and while it has not yet hit celebrity bag status, I have no doubt that the Medwin oversized clutch will make its way to the red carpet sooner rather than later. It's definitely looking towards the trend of the extra-large clutch, and it pulls it off in classic style.
