Saratoga Lind ClutchL.A.M.B. shows a return to form with this stylish Saratoga Lind clutch.

Its nude color might be unobstrusive, but the Saratoga Lind is a real head-turner. I love the chevron style quilting, and the unusual cut-out flap. The Saratoga Lind has a real retro vibe, but its gentle hue ensures it shouldn't date once fashion moves on. And as it's made of real leather, it should also last for several seasons.

The Saratoga Lind has more organizational aids than the average clutch purse. It's got plenty of pockets inside and out, yet the design doesn't seem cluttered. Considering all those convenient compartments I'm surprised that L.A.M.B.'s neglected to add a practical strap. This purse is certainly large enough to warrant it! If you pack it sparsely you'll be able to easily tuck it under your arm, but it could get unwieldy once it's full.

The lack of strap impacts the Saratoga Lind's versatility a little, but it's still quite affordable at $198. If you can manage to slot it into your daytime and evening wardrobe you'll definitely see value for money.

Miles SatchelI'd all but given up on Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. line, with its signature patterns adorning a seemingly endless stream of lackluster handbags. But then I saw the Miles Satchel, a design so striking that I'm sure there's life in this celebrity designed line yet.

Of course any bag made from scarlet red leather will turn heads. But the Miles' appeal is about more than vibrant leather. I love its ladylike structured shape and deep, rich seams.

I'm also impressed with its design, which has perfect everyday dimensions and the features to match. It's got enough space for everything we really need inside, but not so much that we'll be tempted to fill it with weighty extras. The trio of interior pockets is just what the doctor ordered to keep the space in order. The handles could stand to be a bit longer, but they should fit snugly on the shoulders of most girls. And when you're done lugging it around, there are metal feet ready to protect the base once you sit it down.

Gwen Stefani has found form again, and it looks like she's trying to make amends for all those boring bags of the past. At $398, the Miles satchel is a great buy.

Marlene SatchelGwen Stefani’s taken an uncharacteristically conservative approach to fashion with this Marlene satchel.

Ordinarily L.A.M.B.'s accessories feature loud Rasta inspired color schemes, neon colors, or checkerboards, but there's none of that flamboyance here. Instead the soft tumbled leather finish is classically rendered with diamond quilting. The black color is another traditional choice.

The Marlene's also perfectly serviceable, with just the right amount of space and plenty of functional features. The interior is generous but not overwhelming, with a collection of interior pockets to complement the zippered one we see on the front. Its shoulder straps are long but not too long, and flat so they'll stay on your shoulder while you're out and about.

In the Marlene, Gwen Stefani's probably created her most accessible purse. You really can't say anything bad about it. But in creating something so crowd-pleasing I also feel her L.A.M.B.'s label's lost its spark. It's nice enough, but you'll probably find something comparable for less than the $368 price tag we see here.

Malibu ToteL.A.M.B. goes back to basics with this Malibu East-West tote bag.

Ordinarily this bag wouldn't turn my head, but after watching L.A.M.B. recycle the same shapes and prints for far too long I'm delighted to see something entirely new. In many ways it's a bog standard tote, but its ombre print helps to make it something a bit more special.

It's only fitting that this tote is called the Malibu because its gentle orange hues make me want to pack my bags and head to the beach. It uses the colors of sunsets and my favorite cocktails to give it a casual breeziness. I also really like the L.A.M.B. trademark itself. It's such a unique way of branding the bag, and that quirkiness ensures it doesn't feel as obnoxious as a nameplate or signature fabric.

This tote looks fairly simple from the outside, so I expected to see just a plain main compartment inside. Thankfully though, L.A.M.B. has added a zippered pocket. This is a really smart move as without a clasp, this is the only secure place we've got for holding valuables.

It won't suit anyone paranoid about the safety of their possessions but at $98 this tote is a cheap way to own a piece of Gwen Stefani's fashion house.

Torsten Cross-Body BagGwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. label has created a bag for busy girls with the Torsten.

One look at this handbag and you know it means business. The ripstop fabric body is made to withstand punishment, and the large front pockets are ideal for stashing the items you need on hand. It also comes in black, which while not the most exciting shade works with absolutely everything.

There's nothing wrong with practical design, but I wish the Torsten came with a bit more design flair. The most exciting part is that woven strap, and when the strap is the highlight you know you've taken a few wrong creative turns.

For what it is though, this bag delivers. The cute strap is adjustable, so you can wear it as a shoulder bag or cross-body. There's more of the ripstop fabric inside, and plenty of synthetic lined pockets.

I think I'd resent the Torsten more if it were pricier, but at $128 we're getting a decent deal. It's far from L.A.M.B.'s crowning glory, but it's a smart purse for girls on the go.

Bettie SatchelI've been tiring of L.A.M.B. in recent years. It seems Gwen Stefani's label relies on its quirky prints, plastering them on countless lackluster purses made with shoddy materials. So I'm thrilled to see L.A.M.B taking a more traditional path with the Bettie satchel.

In so many ways this is like so many satchels, but there's a reason some styles are classics. While Gwen Stefani hasn't really taken any risks with design, its poppy red textured leather gives it some personality. The bold black nameplate spoils the effect somewhat, but even it can't take away the Bettie's appeal.

That red leather drew me in, but the Bettie's smart design has sold me. Its handles are long, and its generous interior is well appointed with leather trimmed pockets. These complement the one we get up front, which is ideal for stashing keys, lip balm, and other items we love on hand. The only disappointment is the bare base. I wish L.A.M.B. had added some metal feet to protect that leather, but I wouldn't expect this perk at this price point.

For $438 L.A.M.B. has delivered quality and style, a rare combination for this celebrity-helmed label.

Darlington Cross-Body BagI started out feeling excited about Gwen Stefani's foray into the world of fashion, but sadly lately her L.A.M.B. line has failed to inspire me. While the mother of two continues to look fabulous when she steps out, bags like this Darlington simply seem ho-hum.

There's a little of the attitude the No Doubt singer embodies, but it almost seems like edge by numbers. The static logo print is predictably moody and brooding, and the pair of large pyramid studs on the flap almost seems like an afterthought.

The design is sound though, with a long, wearable strap, durable trimmed pockets, and a hardy faille lining. But the execution seems cheap, far cheaper than we'd expect on a bag costing $175. While that's not exorbitant, I've seen comparable purses at this price made from leather rather than synthetic, and with luxurious straps rather than this sporty woven one.

Again it seems to be a case of paying for the label rather than the bag behind it. If you're a Gwen Stefani devotee you might see value here, but I'll take my money elsewhere.

Fisher When I saw the bold colorblocked style of L.A.M.B.'s Clara hobo I was torn. I loved the vibrant retro appearance of the geometric colorblocked design, but I wasn't sure I could pull it off on such a large scale. Enter the Fisher clutch, which happily solves my problem.

The Fisher takes everything I loved about the Clara but delivers it on a much smaller scale. In smaller doses it's easier to appreciate the combination of distressed red lambskin, orange suede, and black patent leather trim. Of course they'll still overwhelm some conservative fashionistas, but I think on this smaller purse it'll win more fans.

This contemporary style lends itself more to daytime wear than posh evenings out, so it's a good thing it's big enough to fit everyday essentials. With larger dimensions than the average clutch, only packrats will need to leave items behind. I also like the interior zip pocket, which is much more practical than the tiny patch slips we typically see.

With its unique style and daytime application, the Fisher clutch is reasonably priced at $245.

Of course, there is no reason why I shouldn't love this clutch. The graphic print may be a little too "urban" for some, but I doubt there are many people who would describe it as offensive. Similarly, people who dislike too many zips will opt for something simpler, but the zip trim generally will be seen as a decorative-but-not-ugly addition. All of this means, essentially, that I have no decent reason not to buy it, apart from the level of my bank balance, of course.

However, the $119 price tag isn't all that high either. I have certainly seen other fashionable purses like this one sold for much higher prices. However, at least I can try to talk myself out of it by noting that the body is PVC, not leather or even a quality canvas. This is a shame; for over $100 you really expect good quality materials. Although, if we are being like that, then the sophisticated striped monochrome lining may tempt me back into the arena again!

The Haughton  is a surpsingly spacious and deliciously edgy clutch with some great graphic oomph. I want it!

While the style is typical of Gwen Stefani's label, it does seem to take its cues from Europe. The Y-shaped zipper appears to imitate the look of so many Yves Saint Laurent handbags, although here the feature doesn't have anywhere near the same level of luxury. That shouldn't be a problem for L.A.M.B.'s faithful though, who prefer a more down-to-earth everyday accessory.

The Worthington fits the bill, with its head-turning print and practical design. Called Dayglo Sunset this pattern seems made for this warm weather we're having, although I worry how easily it'll fit into my wardrobe. There are plenty of other patterns available if you're after something a bit more versatile.

Whichever print you pick, you'll enjoy the attention to detail here. The cheeky striped interior is large enough to carry everything you need, and then some. The generous space is well appointed with a zippered pocket and two multifunctional slips. My only complaint is that the straps are just a shade too short to sit comfortably on the shoulders of every girl.

For $275 this isn't the cheapest synthetic satchel though. If names don't matter to you, you'll probably find something that will last longer for less. But if you're a fan of Gwen Stefani's unique style, you'll get plenty of use from this functional handbag.
