It's not a high end accessory, but there's something endearing about the Brenna's athletic looks. The perforated finish gives the Brenna a sporty feel, while the colorblocked panels make it feel very on trend. I particularly like the pop of the orange panel against the beige synthetic, but it's just one of the many color combinations Jessica Simpson offers.

It's a shame that Jessica Simpson hasn't continued the design on the Brenna's back though. Without the orange to break it up, all that beige leatherette looks really boring. Even the addition of a pocket or some more perforation would have made the rear much more appealing.

The dual compartment design makes it easy to keep your finances in order. You might use one side for spending and the other for saving! The Brenna features an open compartment for notes and receipts, credit card slots, and a clear window for a license or favorite photo.

The Brenna is a cute wallet, and at just $45 it won't take a large chunk out of your budget!

The Roxy's open weave gives it a casual air, while allowing the complementary silver lining to peek through. Jessica Simpson's synthetic is never luxurious, but when it's woven together like this is feels a bit richer. Roxy undoes a bit of that hard work with the wide stripe which circles the bag though. It looks cheap, and it drags the rest of the bag down.

I'm also not a fan of the drawstring, although its tasseled ends suit the Roxy's bohemian style. The closure is just a bit messy, and it overcomplicates an already busy purse. A hidden clasp would have really helped the woven finish shine. I could forgive its more readily if it was more useful, but as a security feature it's lacking. It doesn't hold fast, yet it's fiddly to use. A magnetic snap would have been much smarter.

The Roxy's silver color isn't to my tastes, but I can see it attracting many fans. It looks a bit brassy, but it's also a great way to add some shine to your every day.

The Roxy isn't Jessica Simpson's best bag, but at $55.99 it doesn't have to be. For that price bargain hunters won't mind making a few compromises.

The Contempo's appeal is all about its clean modern lines. From the unique tab flap to the curved piping decorating the front panel, it's the lines they create that make the Contempo something special.

We can always rely on Jessica Simpson accessories for practicality, and the Contempo is no exception. The tote is generously sized, with an array of pockets inside and out. The handles are long and flat too, so they won't slide off your shoulder when you’re on the go.

Not all Contempos are created equally though. In my opinion the tote looks its best in conservative all-over colors like black, walnut, and this ivory version. When Jessica Simpson experiments with colorblocking, animal printed panels, and various fabrics, the Contempos start to look busy and ostentatious. I suppose some girls might appreciate the bolder statements these totes make, but I prefer the more timeless designs.

It's not the prettiest satchel on the block, but its unique design is still likely to turn a few heads. Its unusual gathered body is paired with vintage style wooden handles. These might be a bit awkward to use if the Fontana is packed full, but as they're polished smooth they should feel good in our hands. While Jessica Simpson has taken an uncharacteristically daring approach to the Fonatana's exterior, inside this satchel is pretty standard stuff. While its lining it a bit thin, as the ones in Jessica Simpson bags tend to be, its array of pockets are just what we need to keep this space in order.

Any bag costing less than $100 represents value, but that goes double when it makes a style statement as strong as this Jessica Simpson satchel.

The So Lovely's design is very simple, which might be why it's so endearing. Jessica Simpson has been guilty of over-embellishing many of her handbags, so it's refreshing to see one that's more reserved. A golden bar cinches in chocolate brown leatherette, revealing the fawn colored material underneath. The effect looks a little like a bow, with its pretty pleats. It's a gorgeous interpretation of the colorblocked style, subtle but still eye-catching.

I'm less enthused about the snake printed alternative. The scales are so busy that the pleats get lost in all the mottling. It's also not a very convincing mimic, so unlike the matte leatherette the material appears just as cheap as its price tag suggests. I'm all for maintaining the illusion of opulence!

The So Lovely is quite small but it's well organized, with a slip pocket and quartet of card slots. Those slots are particularly impressive as we don't risk scratching the magnetic strips on our credit cards. A zippered pocket for coins would have come in handy, but we can't expect too much for this price.

At just $58 this pretty Jessica Simpson clutch is just as lovely as its name suggests!

Jessica Simpson has never been a fashion pioneer, so perhaps it's unsurprising to see this wristlet plays it safe. However while it's not a trend setter, it's still quite stylish. I'm particularly impressed by the faux leather, which is much more plush and less shiny than Simpson's usual synthetics.

While the Abby looks a bit pedestrian from the outside its interior is especially noteworthy. The space is kitted out with a zip pocket and eight credit card slots, so you can leave your wallet behind and use the interior for more important things. It's not enormous, but it is big enough to carry everything you really need.

The wrist strap is a convenient addition, but it would have been more appealing if it were removable. While I always appreciate a hands-free carrying option, it looks quite casual. It we could detach it the Abby might have seen us through until after five.

It doesn't dazzle, but for $34.99 it doesn't need to. That super cheap bottom line should be enough to lure bargain hunters in.

While the Naomi has a hint of slouch, it's much more structured than most bags of this style. It's also shaped more like a bucket bag than a classic crescent hobo. These differences go some way towards making the Naomi more sophisticated, but the skin is the finishing touch. The leather-like surface is embossed with crocodile scales, which make it appear richer than its price tag would suggest.

Admittedly fashion snobs would never fall for the trickery. The skin is quite thin, and it has the telltale sheen we find on so many cheap synthetics. The embossing is convincing though, and the polished golden hardware brings an extra level of luxury.

The Naomi doesn't leave us wanting for space. The generous main compartment is well appointed with a selection of pockets. Each has been trimmed in more of that synthetic to help it last. A zipper would have offered more security than the snap closure, but if we're careful the existing clasp should do the job.

The vachetta color isn't very exciting, but it is versatile and on trend. It's rare to find a purse which looks so stylish for just $88, but this hobo fits the bill. Jessica Simpson will never be amongst the fashion elite, but she's produced another solid bag with the Naomi.

Given its name, I fully expected this satchel to be a real show pony. However, at least in basic black, this satchel goes just far enough. The studs are small and applied sparsely so they don't appear too much, especially when paired with the silvery buckles and zip accented panels. I love the way this metal pops against the black pebbled synthetic. It's a classic color combination, but one that never fails to create a cool biker vibe.

Note that I did say synthetic, rather than real leather. That's nothing new for Jessica Simpson, and certainly nothing new for a bag costing only a little more than $100. I wouldn't say the synthetic is luxurious, but it's far from the worst leather impersonator that I've seen.

The material is really the only area where Jessica Simpson has cut corners. The interior features a zippered pocket and pair of slips for personal technology. There's even a clip for your keys.

Not all Prima Donnas are created equally though. While matte colors like black, luggage brown, and garnet look classy, the sickly vachetta pink and animal print alternatives leave a bit to be desired. Which one will you choose?

The problem is that this duffel tries too hard to be a fashion rebel. Its large looped buckles definitely draw attention, but I'm not sure it's the right kind. Frankly I think they look a bit messy, especially on a relatively small canvas. That's even more pronounced on the stone printed snakeskin bag, where the mottled python print further muddies the look.

While some finishes are more successful than others, I have to admire Jessica Simpson for offering choice. If the heavily marked stone snake isn't to your taste, you might prefer the plain black anaconda embossing. There's also pebbled leatherette in black, white, and brown.

Personally I think this blue denim is the pick of them though. Try as you might, it's hard to make a man made skin seem stylish for less than $100. It's always just a bit too shiny and thin to really impress. By not pretending to be anything that it's not, the denim version appears much richer than its sisters.

If you like the look, you're not going to be disappointed by the Tribeca's features. It's not especially large, but it should have enough space to hold everything you really need on an average day out. Organizer pockets in the side walls are also on hand to help you keep your necessary items in order. And remember, there are also those gusseted pockets at the sides for those goodies you need on hand.

The Tribeca isn't Jessica Simpson's best bag, but at an affordable $88 it's still a very tempting proposition.

The Bliss tote isn't a bad tote per se, but it's far too ordinary to deserve such a glowing moniker. The crocodile embossing is okay, but nothing to write home about, and the puckering around the base of the bag seems really awkward. I don't mind the camel color, or any of the other hues available, but they are also a bit underwhelming. It's all very pleasant, but incredibly middle of the road.

The interior shows a little more individuality, with its zippered central compartment, side pockets, and handy key clip. These functional features work with the zippered back pocket to create the kind of bag that makes staying organized easy.

But does anyone really think keeping our cargo in order is blissful? Even for a relatively affordable $98, I think Jessica Simpson has missed the mark here.
