This handbag builds on the creative vision Anuschka's famous for, but it interprets it with a bit more bohemian flair. The enchanted fairy painting isn't one I've seen before from Anuschka, although its gentle watercolors make it feel familiar. The long fringe running along the bottom of the bag is also something new. Its gentle pink and purple ombre hues are a great complement to the girly image above.

Its look is its greatest drawcard, but this saddle bag backs up its pretty visage with high quality materials and a functional design. This spacious purse is made entirely from sumptuously soft leather. The zippered pocket and cell phone pouch on the bag will sit against your body for extra security. Those pouches will handle the essentials, but there's also a trio of interior pockets and another zip pouch hiding underneath the flap. The hardest part is remembering where you put your keys!

The fairy print might turn off girls with sophisticated tastes, but I imagine girls who still believe in magic will embrace this purse with personality.

This tote is packed with features, but its biggest draw card is its full length side zippers. When opened up they take the already sizable tote from large to enormous. This tote also has the functional features to cope with all that extra space. A zippered pocket runs down the center of the main compartment, dividing it into three user-friendly sections. There's also another zippered pocket for valuables and a cell phone pouch. And if you're still searching for storage space, you can utilize the external zip pocket.

Anuschka's hand painted designs have always been an acquired taste, but I think these ones are a bit lackluster. This Wild Hibiscus Antique image is the pick of them, but it still doesn't excite me. At least it's not as unattractive as that creepy Queen of Jaipur.

At $204 this tote is one of Anuschka's most expensive, but if you can't travel light you'll probably see value from its expandable design.

In many ways it doesn't stray too far away from Anuschka's formula. The watercolor painted design is familiar, as is the pebbled leather. But I love the way the curved flap of the front pocket mirrors the purse's rounded base. The pretty purple handles make it feel more modern than most Anushka's purses, and who can resist peacock feathers?

It's a mini purse, so we wouldn't expect a lot of space. I also didn't expect all the features Anuschka seems to have effortlessly incorporated. There are two full length pockets on the outside, and a well organized central compartment. We're treated to two zippered pockets, a pair of gadget slips, and even a holder for our keys. This is one of those purses which really does have a place for everything!

$175 is an affordable price for any leather purse, but when it's handcrafted and hand painted it seems like an even bigger bargain.

How would the label's hand painted works of art fare once they were puckered up with a drawstring? The answer is, remarkably well.

Anuschka has carefully chosen abstract designs so they're not disfigured too much by the soft pleating. This shoulder bag is also more structured than many drawstring purses, so we can sit back and appreciate that portable work of art. Like all good art, it won't be to everyone's tastes, but it won't alienate anyone who's loved Anuschka bags in the past. Its color palette is familiar, and the floral design modern, yet feminine.

I think Anuschka has done well designing this bag around the drawstring closure, but I also wonder why it's bothered. These kinds of closures are notoriously fiddly, and not as secure as many options. Anuschka sets our mind at ease by adding a magnetic closure, but why choose a drawstring when it won't do the job?

The interior is much more practical, with plenty of space and pockets too. You'll even find a key holder, which will put an end to scrounging around for your house and car keys. With so much space on offer this shoulder bag may get heavy, but the long shoulder straps should make carrying it that much easier.

At $245 this Anuschka bag is a bit expensive for a drawstring purse, but also dirt cheap for a work of art. When viewed as this rather than a mere accessory, bagistas are getting a bargain.

While Anuschka's trademark painted designs can look a little kitschy on a large canvas, they're ideal on this small scale. The blue hibiscus flowers of this purse give it a Polynesian feel. However by placing it on a gray background, the wristlet doesn't appear as summery as it might. That ensures you can carry it easily all year round.

The purse's retro half moon shape gives this clutch some real personality, and makes it easy to carry by hand. However it's always lovely to have a hands-free option, which is where the leather wrist strap comes in. If you prefer to clutch the old fashioned way you can unclip the strap for a more streamlined look.

Like most clutches this purse is on the small side, but it's surprisingly well appointed with a zippered pocket stretching across the length of the interior and another small slip pocket tucked away.

At $175 this wristlet is quite expensive for a bag of its size, but considering the quality of the leather and the work that's gone into the design I think it's still reasonably priced.

The brand embraces its cheesy side with this Leopard in Paradise hobo.

This simply shaped leather bag is embellished with a hand-painted jungle scene. Vivid watercolors have been used to create the majestic leopard, Bird of Paradise plants, and thick Amazon foliage. The design is gorgeous, but also not intended to be taken too seriously.

This is a mid-sized hobo, which may pose some challenges to all those packrats out there. But you should have no problems finding space for your wallet, gadgets, keys, and other small essentials. If you know how to pack, you could even slip a few luxuries in too.

At $172, this is an expensive hobo but its workmanship probably makes it worth the splurge. It's a little over the top, but with the right attitude I think most modern girls could pull it off. Just don't pair it with a leopard print ensemble!

One of the brand's most recent designs is called the Nirvana. While it's available on a range of purses, I think my favorite is this medium-sized hobo.

The key to this purse is its simplicity. On a blank canvas of high quality leather, the dreamy hand-painted artwork can shine. Without the slouchy pleats of a traditional hobo, we can easily see the design, which features Middle Eastern inspired lotus flowers and water lilies.

Two painted zips disguise the secure external pockets. There's more where that came from inside, a space that's a lot more practical than you might expect. This is a fairly small interior by modern standards, but it's packed with more features than the average. Pen holders, credit card slots, and a key fob are just some of the special extras. You'll also find a removable optical case and cosmetics pouch. I'm not sure how Anuschka manages to cram all that inside this relatively small space, but I appreciate the effort.

Artsy purses aren't for everyone, but if the $158 price tag and high-quality materials make this one more appealing than most.

A stunning example of the sophisticated new look is this Crsna Top Zip satchel. Anuschka's famous hand painted approach is just as whimsical as ever, with colorful butterflies and foliage. But it looks so much more stylish against the black backdrop.

The traditional satchel shape maximizes storage space. The brand goes above and beyond what we expect, with the traditional zip and slip pockets complemented by a handy key hook. There's also another zippered pocket discreetly placed on the back of the bag. It may not look as lovely as more hand painted butterflies would, but it is practical.

Not too big and not too small, the wide shoulder straps with their long 9.5 inch drop are more than up to the task.

This Crsna Top Zip satchel is just the sort of bag that should encourage purse lovers to take a second look at Anushcka.

The Anuschka check book case is just the sort of high class handbag content that I am talking about. The print, you see, is too bright and garish to work as a full hold-all or tote, but works brilliantly as a feature conversation point to guard your check book from damage.

Whilst the colorful peacock feathers are very elegant and pretty, I do wonder why the designers of this sophisticated check book case decided to use three different animal prints. Thankfully the abstract style make it work more than expected, but it still would have probably been better with just one!
