The paint spill red coating on this bag really looks pretty against the natural canvas. When undone, the side zippers increase the size of the top opening for easier access to the bag's contents. This bag has little extra details that demonstrate its quality workmanship like the snapping leather cover over the hanging tag's clear window, the raised YSL logos on the back of the side zipper heads and the black leather outlining on the interior zipper concealing the zipper track (the black really looks wonderful in contrast with the red leather and white canvas interior). Although year-round appropriate, it's an especially great bag for Summer and casual weekend outings to restaurants, the Mall or trips to the condo at the beach, or a cruise. If you regularly read the celebrity and/or fashion magazines, you'll see that brightly colored bags are what's popular now and that trend is predicted to continue through the coming year. In today's fashion environment of oversized bags and clutches, this one would be classified as "medium" and thankfully, lightweight. It's brand new with no flaws such as scratches, scuffs, stains, rips, tears or smells (smoke free household). There's no reserve and standard shipping within the USA is free. Bag Specifics:

• All measurements are approximate and in inches.
• Heavy nap, natural colored linen canvas that has been decorated with a coating of red that covers the top of the bag body and spills down the front and back surfaces like paint. The official color name is "raspberry" but it's a true red, best depicted in the modeling and canvas close up photos below. (The coating also provides protection from staining and water spots).
• Red Italian leather trim w/piped side and bottom edges.
• Goldtoned brass hardware.
• Angling upward from the bottom corners are decorative red top-stitches. At the top of each side, there's a heavy gauge, 4-inch, verticle, brass zipper. The zipper heads have raised YSL logos on the back and the pulls are split red leather ties. When undone, the top opening increases to provide easier access to the bag's contents.
• Magnetic brass snap top closure.
• Dual red leather handles attach to the top corners via brass rings and studded leather loops. Handles meaure 1W X 16L (including rings) and drop is 7 inches. Bag can be toted or comfortably shoulder carried (see pictures of Ron below). Hanging from one handle via a brass buckled leather belt is a leather luggage style tag. One side is decorated with a leather "Y" applique. The other has a snapping leather flap which conceals a clear window into which you can place your name, address and/or phone number.
• The interior walls on the front and back surfaces have 3 inches of red leather. On the sides by the zippers, there is 1-inch of red leather on each side of the zipper. The bag is then lined with natural canvas (like the bag body). On one side is a zippered pocket that measures 7W X 7-1/2D; black zephyr zipper w/black metal zipper head. The zipper pull is a little cut-out brass triangle with a black leather tab at the end. The zipper is outlined in black leather which conceals the zephyr zipper track. Centered below the zipper is a black leather, gold imprinted logo label. On the back, the serial number (177739-001998) and "Made in Italy" is embossed. On the opposite side is a cell phone pouch.
