There's nothing like plaid to kick off the fall season. The Scottish patterned fabric can never be a spring or summer print, in my opinion; but it's absolutely wonderful for the cooler seasons.

With the first day of fall only weeks away now, it's definitely time to start thinking about upcoming wardrobe additions. With this Rampage Raegan tote, you'll get a combination of some classic autumn details with current trends.

Like two of Be&D's ruffled creations, the Tuilleries and the Kan Kan, the Raegan has a front full of generously-sized ruffles. It's kind of hard to notice anything but the amount of material at first, but a closer look reveals a few more interesting features.

The plaid detail comes in surprisingly on the ruffles mixed in with the synthetic patent leather. Its combo of reds, whites, and dark blue is traditional yet somehow contemporary when used in this unexpected way. The silver-toned hardware that runs down the sides and adorns the double handles and detachable strap is just icing on the cake.

Aldo is known for its fashion friendly designs at rock bottom prices, and this spacious forest green bowler is no exception. At a jaw-dropping $19.98, this really is surprisingly good looking and highly desirable.

A number of features draw your eye to this stylish sporty hold-all. The deep green color, for starters, followed quickly by positive impressions from both the patent sheen and the over-sized crocodile print. Whilst the patent effect is almost slightly over-shiny, the print really hits the right trend buttons, and adds an air of sophistication to this traditional bowler silhouette.

The strap-line for this handbag claims that "you can take it from the office to cocktail hour in the blink of an eye." Whilst I agree that for such a cheap bag this Aldo bowler is very work friendly, I disagree strongly with the cocktail claim. Firstly, have you ever seen such a big purse amongst the little black dresses? And secondly, this bag is far to staid and simple to really shine in a cocktail environment!

If you need a big bag that will make carrying your belongings easy, then this Aldo Provencher purse will match the description! Just don't expect high-luxury goods for this bargain handbag price!

Details Emerge of Coach’s Luxury Reed Krakoff Fashion Line

More details have come to light about Coach's Reed Krakoff line. The collection, named after the brand's creative director, is all about luxury fashion items.

It's a curious move considering the current economic climate, but Coach's chief executive Lew Frankfort insists it's "a perfect time." He explains that consumers are rethinking where and how they shop.

"We believe the Reed Krakoff label will define new American luxury, which has a distinctive aesthetic at an attractive price point," Mr. Frankfort said.

The Reed Krakoff range will include luxury clothing, handbags, jewelry, and accessories. It will be sold in a select number of stand-alone stores, boutiques, and specialty stores. The company seems determined to separate the luxurious Reed Krakoff line from Coach, as it will not be available in Coach stores.

Creating a new luxury brand seems like a risky venture in a global recession, but I suppose nothing innovative comes without a gamble, does it?

L.A.M.B. Love Candela Soft Bucket Bag | Slouchy Leather Red Bag with Racing Stripes

The Love Candela could only come from one fashion house. It has all the hallmarks of Gwen Stefani's style empire, L.A.M.B.

The velvet stripes which run down the center of the bag and around the base are a L.A.M.B trademark. Here tan signature print clashes with the soft red leather, giving the purse a color-blocked appearance. If you'd prefer a more unified look, the Love Candela is also available in black on black. A gold-plated "L" sitting proudly in the center of the stripe is another elegant pointer to the brand.

Inside the striped faille lining is highlighted with a smattering of gold letters. This is clearly a brand who knows what its fans want, and its more L.A.M.B. logos! Yet the label stops just short of obnoxious. The signature printed stripes are subtle. The logo plate is elegant. And the lining knows just how many letters is enough.

The Love Candela is a large bag, but I probably wouldn’t put it in the oversized category. The dimensions are generous though, so you’ll have no trouble carrying your favorite novel on the train or a wallet busting at the seams. Pockets of all kinds line the side walls, providing much needed organizational assistance.

The long handle makes it so easy to grab and go, which is just what busy girls need!

Yves Saint Laurent Collaborates with Hong Kong’s Luxury Store Lane Crawford

You may or may not have heard of Asia's leading luxury retail store Lane Crawford. This giant specialty store offers an enormous amount of clothing, accessories, and much more from its locations in Hong Kong and Beijing.

Now the chic designer retail giant is teaming up with one of fashion's biggest names. Yves Saint Laurent's creative director, Stefano Pilati, has designed an exclusive collection just for Lane Crawford.

The line is limited and will include apparel and more for men and women. Included in the collection is this logo-printed handbag. YSL for Lane Crawford goes on sale August 1 and will range from around $250 to nearly $2,200.

Juicy Couture Pammy Tote | Signature Style Handbag in Terry Fabric

Just about everything on this Juicy Couture Pammy tote screams signature Juicy style. That's not necessarily a good thing, unless you happen to be a huge fan of the brand.

While many prefer Juicy's more sophisticated side, as seen on bags like the Small Bowler or the Madge, there is definitely a large number of shoppers who go ga-ga for totes such as the Pammy. On this particular version, what stands out as the most indicative of the label is the material.

I'm not sure if there's any other handbag brand who can pull off terry fabric quite like this. Either we're just used to seeing it on Juicy's products, or they've managed to combine it with other details to make it seem somehow appropriate. Whatever the answer, the fact remains that they've got the terry cloth purse market covered, however impractical the material may seem for a bag.

The other unmistakable detail that makes this hot pink martinique terry tote a Juicy Couture product is the oversized (dare I say it, overscale) signature logo and printed design on the front. As if that weren't enough, there's also a subtle leather patch displaying the letter "J" on the back of the bag.

I shouldn't be overly negative about the Pammy, though, because it is decently sized tote with fun details perfect for a casual, flirty outfit. If classic Juicy isn't your thing, you might consider one of their understated choices instead. However, if you love hot pink terry fabric with metallic details that can only belong to Juicy Couture, the Pammy tote was made for you.

By folding the top flap down, this leather tote can have a completely different silhouette. Effectively you get two handbags in one, even if none of the designs are particularly awe-inspiring.

This is a useful and multifunctional bag from well known designer Nine West, and what it lacks in innovation it easily makes up for in affordability!

Kooba Andie Clutch | Soft Small Metallic Leather Bow Purse

Kooba's Andie clutch is one of those purses that just begs to be touched. The metallic leather is so buttery soft, which is just what you want in a hand-held clutch!

The looks are contemporary yet feminine. A knotted band is a modern alternative to a bow, adding interest without appearing too girly. It cinches the clutch in, adding subtle pleating and texture to the wrinkled leather. Rather than trumpeting the brand's name, Kooba keeps thing subtle with a tiny brass nameplate on the side.

This is a fairly sizeable clutch, so you should have no problems fitting all your party essentials inside with space to spare. But with the luxury of a large clutch sadly comes a downside. If you're going to utilize the room inside, the Andie's going to become a little hard to handle. A shoulder strap would have easily solved the problem, so it's a wonder Kooba didn’t think of it!

At $325, the Andie isn't exactly cheap for a party purse. But if you've got the cash to spare, this wine colored clutch would be ideal for carrying in the cooler weather ahead!

Vivienne Westwood Creates Environmentally-Friendly Climate Change Handbag for AmazonLife

Vivienne Westwood has given her iconic bowler bag an eco-friendly makeover for a new climate change awareness campaign. It's a cause close to the heart of the designer, who has participated in G20 protests and interviewed scientists and environmentalists about the issue.

The Yasmine tote is part of a new accessories line for AmazonLife, an organization which looks to protect the Amazonia basin. It's crafted with organic canvas and finished with Treetap rubber. +5° is printed on the front in water-based ink. This figure is a sobering reminder of the amount the earth's temperature has increased due to pollution and deforestation.

The collection, which also includes pieces from Evisu, Braccalini, Gherardini, and even Looney Tunes, promotes the message that "fashion can be eco-friendly." All bags feature recycled or natural fabrics including juta, linen, coconuts, straw, and feathers.

The handbags will be available through the AmazonLife website and each designer's boutique outlets.
